The following are several opportunities that parents, guardians, and our community members can participate and support our learners:
- Scholastic Book Orders (Click Here) and use our Class Code: NWC8M- Scholastic Book Clubs are made for you and your child to shop for books your child will love to read. The link allows you to shop for excellent quality, age-appropriate books chosen by Scholastic for prices as low as one dollar. Plus you will be helping our class when you order: Scholastic matches each order you place with FREE BOOKS for our classroom to share. Thank you for helping your child become a successful reader. Directions to order your books can be found here.
- Amazon Wish List (Click Here)- Your child will spend over 9,900 minutes in our class throughout the course of the year. Maintaining the needs for 7th Grade students in 5 sections can be a challenge. If you would like to contribute to our student's needs, please visit our Amazon Wish List. The items you order will be mailed to our classroom within the next week. In order to make them comfortable during their time, a few items are frequently requested by our students. We appreciate your generosity and contributions since our classroom is heavily dependent on your support. Items on this list include things such as batteries, Kleenex, etc.
- Donor's Choose (Click Here)- Periodically, crowdsource funding is posted for upcoming projects. On occasion, projects are posted that enhance students' 21st Century learning. If a specialty code is provided, then that is most likely due to anonymous generous donors that are willing to match your donation amount. Every donation is tax deductible. If there aren't any projects posted, donations to future projects such as technology enhancements, literature based items, etc. are greatly appreciated.
- After Hours Support- Many times teachers are called to meetings after and before school. This limits availability for additional items to be attended to (paper sorting, lamination, copies, decorating for signature events, assistance with after hour clubs, etc) if you are interested to help for these events, please contact Mrs. Peterson for availability.
