I would like to present you a really good resource that I discoverd. This resorce is called explanatory mural and it is taken from César Bona's book called "La nova educaió". Try to use it in class and send to me your opinion (you have my email in the home page).
First of all, you have to put a big mural in any of your class walls. This mural can be made of paper, cork, paperboard, etc. After that you have to divide this mural in four different spaces:
The first three spaces that I have already mentioned will be updated each week, while the last one (wiseman and wisewoman) will be done in a monthly way.
In the congratulation messages area, students will be able to do positive feedback to any of their classmates, as well as to their teacher.
Regarding the suggestions zone, students will be able to write ideas in order to improve their learning process.
Thirdly, the space devoted to the critical voices will allow to the students to complain about anything related to their classroom or school.
Finally, in the wiseman/wisewoman part, students will have a challenging question to solve each month. Just in case someone solves the question, apart from being the wiseman/wisewoman of the month, she/he will get a positive point.
At the end of the year the student with more positive points will get a present. You can decide with your students at the beginning of the year what should be the present that the winner must get.
