I use Quizzizz to make online quizzes for my students. It's a platform that is very easy to use, is free, and is a great way to review recent material with students in a way that is fun and engaging.
Quizzizz is pretty similar to other online quizzing platforms like Kahoot or Gimkit, but in I personally enjoy Quizzizz the most because it's student paced and gives the teacher a much more detailed look at the accuracy of the questions than other platforms, making it ideal for formative assessment strategies. I have used Quizzizz as both a teacher and as a student, and I always find it enjoyable. What's also great is that you can use quizzes that are pre-made or pull questions from other public quizzes into your own, which definitely speeds up the process of creating content for your students.
I would recommend this tech tool for educators to use in their classrooms.
This tech tool helps teachers meet the first three domains of Danielson's Framework for Teaching. In Domain 1 (Planning & Prep) it helps teachers design assessments that are appropriate to the lesson and students. For Domain 2 (Classroom Environment), teachers are providing a fun and somewhat competitive way for students to engage with content, hopefully motivating them and making the atmosphere more lighthearted. In relation to Domain 3 (Instruction), Quizzizz helps teachers perform formative assessments because it generates feedback from the games quickly and specifically in the teacher view, telling the teacher what has been learned well. This tech tool also integrates some of the ISTE Standards for students into the classroom as well. By using Quizzizz as a beginning of the year survey, teachers can help their students become more Empowered Learners (1a, 1c), and if the students create their own forms, they will become more Creative Communicators (6a).
Above are included two screenshots of the teacher view of Quizzizz (this is one I created to review of Shakespeare's "Merchant of Venice"). The last picture in the sequence is from the homepage, where you can search for pre-made quizzes by category.
