Popplet is a free tool that will allow you to create word webs and organize the vocabulary you learn using your creativity. You can create webs or columns of content words to refer to them for later use. It`s a very simple to use tool and it`s entirely free. You just need to create an account with your email and give wings to your imagination.
The first thing you need to is: create an account with a personal email. At the right top of the page you will find a button for that.
The next step is to click on the MAKE A NEW POPPLET button to start creating your word web.
A box will pop up in which you will type in the idea you would like to brainstorm. See images below. In this example, the words in connection with crime are listed:

PLANIED
Plan Nacional Integral de Educación Digital (PLANIED) is a proposal from Ministerio de Educación y Deportes de la Nación, whose mision is to integrate the educational community to the digital culture, promoting pedagogical innovation and quality in learning.
PLANIED seeks to promote knowledge as well as critical and creative ownership of TICs, in order to reflect upon the necessary skills students need to acquire throughout their years within the educational system.
One of PLANIED's categories deals with Digital Education Competences:
Creativity and Innovation: innovative practices associated to the digital culture are promoted to students in order to build knowledge through appropriation of TIC
Students will make use of TICS to design their own digital version of lists of verbs and vocabulary words.
SAMR MODEL
The SAMR model aims at helping teachers integrate technology effectively. It can enhance or transform the educational tasks. With this model students will be able to creatively design their own diagrams using technology. Instead of memorizing long paper lists of verbs, students can learn to successfully create their own lists of verbs, vocabulary in a more interactive way paving the way for improvement in the target language. Common classroom tasks are being accomplished through the use of computer technology. Students will be able to create lists using technology in the modification level, classroom teaching is being transformed.
Evaluation Criteria
Creativity from the part of the students in designing their own lists.
Use of words and expressions learned throughout the classes.
Collaborative work and use of their own work for future reference
Command of verb forms.

Lesson 3
Target: Intermediate students
Topic: Crime
Grade: 9th
WARM UP
The teacher will start the class by asking the students who haven´t read their crime strips in the previous class to present their work. After that the teacher will ask students to open POPPLET.COM
WEB
Students will be using POPPLET at this time. They will be creating the following columns with the categories: CRIMES – CRIMINALS - WEAPONS - INFINITIVE VERBS – PAST SIMPLE. The purpose is for them to create a diagram in which they will include everything they have learned. This can later be used for further reference for study purposes.
WHAT´S NEXT
Students will be reading all the elements they have included under the categories. In case, they don´t remember a word their classmates have used, this is a good moment for revision. If any student would like to add a word they don´t have, they will have a chance to do so.
