Computer images are often generated by using little dots of color called pixels. This has limitations when scaling up a low quality picture. The picture could become fuzzy or grainy. Vectoring is a technique used by artists and graphic designers that creates an image by using equations that define those images. These images do not lose quality no matter how large they are scaled.
A linear regression is a type of graphical analysis of a data set. Statisticians, scientists, economists, and many others use regressions to model what they observe so that they can make predictions.
What is R-Squared?
It is the fraction of the total variation in y that is captured by the line. Or, how well does a line account for the variations within a set of data. The closer R-squared is to 1 (100%) the more confident we are in using the model to predict future outcomes.
