Awards Ceremony: Saturday, April 26 at 10:00 AM EDT
We’d like to share a preliminary list of exhibits for the 2025 Fair to give you an overview of featured projects. The "Preliminary Breakdown of Exhibits at the 2025 Fair" table shows the variation in high school exhibits by category.
You can find the 2025 Updated List of Exhibits at this link. Please note that this list may change before judging begins on April 14, as some exhibits may be added or removed.
Review the list and highlight the top exhibits you'd like to judge. Some or all of your selections may be assigned to you.
Recent updates for the virtual fair:
The Tri-County Science & Technology Fair aims to assign at least three judges per exhibit across all grade levels. If a category attracts more judges than necessary, more than three may be assigned to each exhibit equally.
You can select up to 10 high school exhibits to judge on a first-come, first-served basis, based on availability. You may choose from one or multiple categories. However, the number of available slots depends on registered exhibits versus confirmed judges, with some categories offering three to seven slots per exhibit.
We have many exhibits in Environment and Medicine and Medical Science & Technology at the high school level, but we could always use more judges for these categories. If you're comfortable evaluating in these areas, please consider selecting some exhibits based on your technical expertise and background.
Each exhibit has an exhibit number -- remember which ones you would like to judge!
You can select exhibits from April 7 at 8:00 AM to April 11 at 6:00 PM EDT. The sooner you access the Exhibit Selection Form, the better your chances of judging your preferred exhibits. However, there's no guarantee you'll get your top choices, as the number of exhibits varies by level and category. Please have some alternate choices ready. Also, avoid any exhibits that might present a conflict of interest for you.
When selecting exhibits online, please review the breakdown of the Preliminary List of Exhibits carefully. We cannot control how many exhibits register in each category, so your preferred category may not have enough exhibits for all judges. As a result, you might receive few or none of your selected exhibits. For instance, categories like Physics at the high school level usually have fewer exhibits than Health/Medicine or Psychology. Please have alternate choices ready from other levels or categories.
If you decide not to judge due to insufficient exhibits in your chosen category, contact the Judges' Committee as soon as possible at Judges@DiscoveryCtr.org or 845-621-1260 x-402.
A recurring issue for us is that we have many more Psychology, Environment, and Medicine exhibits than judges who sign up for them. If possible, please try to select some Psychology, Environment, and/or Medicine exhibits at the HS level if you feel you have the expertise and are comfortable doing so.
The Exhibit Selection Form will indicate the number of slots remaining for any exhibit that has not yet been selected by three judges. Try to add two or three among the remaining Psychology, Environment, and/or Medicine exhibits along with your primary selections based on your expertise. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Whether you are a novice that never judged any other fair, or an experienced judge who is a newcomer to our fair, or a returning judge well-acquainted with our fair, we urge you to look over all the information on this website! You should review the material we have compiled to help you become more effective in judging exhibits in an online format.
