We list the 20 high schools that competed in the 2026 fair to help you spot potential conflicts of interest. Some of these schools may not be in this year’s fair, and other new schools from Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam counties in New York State may be added. We will replace the list below with the current roster of participating schools by April 5.

Conflict of Interest
Our goal is to give students accurate, objective, and unbiased assessments based on clear criteria. To avoid potential conflicts of interest, do not evaluate an exhibit if:
You are an alumnus, current employee, or former employee from the exhibit's school participating in the fair.
You are related, a family friend, neighbor, current mentor, or previous mentor to a student or employee from a school participating in the fair.
You have previously judged the same student(s) and exhibit in a science fair.
You are or were conducting business with either a student or employee, their immediate family, or directly with a school participating in the fair.
The topic of the exhibit may have some conflict with your employer, school, or profession. For example, a project using Coca-Cola should not be judged by a PepsiCo employee.
As a judge, you agree to let the Judges' Committee know when you discover that a conflict of interest exists.
If you have a conflict of interest with a student, school, or topic:
Notify the Judges' Committee immediately at Judges@DiscoveryCtr.org or 845-621-1260 x-402 so that we can quickly reassign the exhibit to another judge.
Submit scores of "0" for all criteria in your Judge's Portal to remove it from your assignments.
Add "CONFLICT" to the exhibit's comments box along with your reason.
Recuse yourself from judging the affected project(s) to preserve the Fair's integrity.
We may reassign you to evaluate other exhibits that present no conflict of interest.
