Drill Camp is an awesome 8-day camp before school starts. Any new incoming cadet (not just 9th graders) may attend and learn about our program and JROTC in general. There is no cost and cadets are welcome to attend as much of the camp as possible, but not required to be there for all 8-days.
There are a ton of benefits to attending drill camp including:
Learning the basics of drill (which will advance them above their peers in class who did not attend)
Learning about the FL-20041 Group and all the opportunities it offers
Getting your uniform & PT gear early
Meeting the instructors before the first-day
Meeting other cadets in the program and other cadets joining the program
Learning the lay of the Timber Creek campus before school starts
Getting a rank promotion earlier than all cadets who did not attend
Being further along with earning their Activities Ribbon

Parents, Guardians, and Cadets,
WELCOME to another school year! We are happy to have each and every student, parent, and guardian as part of our Air Force JROTC Aerospace Science Program.
Our objectives within the program are to instill values of citizenship, community service, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment in our high school students. In addition to learning about civilian and military aviation, AFJROTC teaches students about core values, citizenship, and civic responsibility. An elective credit is given for our classes, as well as gaining a Health Opportunities through Physical Education (HOPE) credit and fine arts credit after completing two years.
Our goal is to instill in each student the values of citizenship, service to the United States and community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. Classes are structured around responsibility, mutual respect, integrity, and self-discipline. Field trips are scheduled to enhance their knowledge of aviation and to promote service to others. Past field trips include: Kennedy Space Center, Patrick Space Force Base, Aviation Museum, Orlando Science Center, Airports, Drill Team & Color Guard competitions at other schools, and local elementary & middle schools.
To incoming cadets: We are extremely excited for you to join our family here at FL-20041. We promise a wonderful year full of fun, education, and real-world experience! Don’t forget to always aim high and try new things! Remember to always work hard, do the best you can, and think about others as we try to succeed together as a unit! Let’s go Wolves, HOORAH!
NOTE: All essential items, such as books and uniforms, are provided at no cost. Participation in our program DOES NOT obligate the student to military service.
