Gender Bias

Essentially,  gender bias refers to act of favouring one gender over another. This could be done consciously or unconsciously. 

Gender bias perpetuates and is informed by stereotypes and assumptions. It involves interacting with a person, or group of people, according to the stereotypes and roles associated with their gender rather than their individuality identity. As a result, gender bias often involves double standards whereby women are labeled negatively for behaving or thinking in ways that men are often praised for.  Supposing men and women display the same behaviour, some examples of gender bias might include:
