The GED 580: Approaches to Teaching course at Saint Michael's College includes two detailed session plans and delivery of one of the sessions to students. They are based around current educational research regarding effective teacher planning strategies and instruction. The first session plan is posted to the left, while additional materials such as a student planning exercise, presentation, pre-course formative assessment, and exit card are hyperlinks. The explanation of this session plan can be found here.
The second session plan can be found here along with the presentation of it. The student handout for this session is a mapping exercise. Both of these sessions were apart of a Leave No Trace Trainer course that was delivered to Saint Michael's College students. The full course overview and session notes are available here along with the course evaluation.
