Welcome back to another term and another year!
No doubt those of us who are teachers have had to juggle a variety of COVID-related restrictions as the year has got underway. Hopefully TASME can continue to support its members in ways that inspire and provide encouragement as we continue to navigate challenges of teaching whilst living with COVID.
We do have some superb PL lined up for this year, due in part to the fine work of Andrea Marks in obtaining permission to redirect money provided by the State Government towards visits by interstate guests. The Government generously contributed money to assist with last year's National Conference. However, with the move to an online platform, the money approved to help cover interstate and international guests was not spent. Consequently, the State Government has been willing to allow us to redirect it towards events this year instead. Please take advantage of what's on offer, particularly at the given prices. In most cases where interstate guests are present for PL, the only things needing to be covered by registration fees are venue hire and food.
We apologise for the delay in getting this newsletter to members but nonetheless trust it will be of use as the year continues to get underway.
