Crossbow Cavern is a Metroidvania-style platformer that was designed around its core mechanic of using projectiles as makeshift platforms. By lodging crossbow bolts into the walls, players can discover ways of navigating through the cavern's treacherous rooms and reach otherwise inaccessible areas!
I personally challenged myself to develop a game for a genre I had no prior experience with within a 2-week period, and I am quite pleased with how much depth I was able to squeeze out of my original concept!
Successfully produced a fully-functioning, expansive game in a 2-week period
Created a 20-screen dungeon filled with obstacles, upgrades, and backtracking
Developed 3 unique boss fights that are all fought in very different ways
