在富里駐村的時候，大多是透過腳踏車在周邊探索，雖然花的時間精力比起機車汽車多很多，也常受氣候地形的影響，卻是讓我能更深入探索當地的重要代步工具，也很自然地就想延續之前在伊朗的駐村創作--- 使用輪框 ---成為鐵馬輪框系列 之 二號作品。

During my residency in Fuli, I mostly explored the surrounding area by bicycle. Although it took much more time and energy than scooter or car and was often affected by the climate and terrain. However, it was a key means of transportation that allowed me to explore the local area in greater depth. All by natural, I wanted to continue my previous residency creation in Iran— using bicycle wheel frames— as the second piece of my Bicycle Wheel Frame series.

而樹的意象很快就浮現，我喜愛祂包含了許多層次的意義，豐盛、壯碩、是能讓動植物們遮風避雨的依靠、還有感受到天賜糧源在富里努力扎根成長並不忘回饋服務鄉親的心意，成立空間、發行免費刊物、時常舉辦活動音樂會等等，用心豐富在地多元性與里民生活，再再都像是樹一般的存在。

The image of a tree quickly emerged. I like that it contains many levels of meanings, such as abundance, strength, shelter from the wind and rain for animals and plants, and the feeling that the host of residency-- Fulimaker, is striving to take root and grow in the richness. And they're generous to give back and serve the locals, they set up a co-working space, publish free zines, hold events and concerts from time to time, etc., and strive to enrich the diversity of the locals and the life of the local people, just like a reliable tree.

自然素材也是我近年來學習與偏好的選擇，於是富里特有的環境友善稻桿，理所當然成為心目中最理想的創作素材，十月駐村時稻米還沒收割，十分感謝富里製造的夥伴們耐心等候到十一月，並幫助我取得、曬乾稻桿還特地送過來家裡。我實驗結合編織，參考原住民傳統藤編壓三挑三的手法，先打底，再另塑樹型，決定讓樹維持駐村時經歷秋天的狀態，雖然看起來有點平淡，但是茂盛的根部依舊在累積醞釀隔年發芽所需的能量。在這次工作過程當中，被滿滿的稻桿香包圍真是蠻幸福的體驗。

Natural materials have also been my choice of study and preference to create in recent years, so Fuli’s unique eco friendly organic rice straw has naturally become the most ideal material in my mind. When I stay in the village in October, the rice had not yet been harvested. I am very grateful to the partners of Fulimaker for their patience. In November, they helped me obtain and dry the rice straw and later even sent it to my home. So I experimented with weaving, referring to the traditional aboriginal Puyuma rattan weaving technique of pressing three out of three. I first laid the foundation, and then reshaped the tree. I decided to keep the tree in the state it what I experienced in autumn. Although it looks a bit plain, but the lush roots are still gathering the energy for accumulated and brewed in the next year. while making, it was a very happy experience to be surrounded by the fragrance of rice straws.

最後結合竹與喇叭，有不插電與插電的選項，將駐村時採集、編輯處理過的聲音素材(<-- 可點開來聽)擴音放大，讓觀眾自行點選，也可隨意重疊播放來玩聲響、聽聽富里不同層次精彩有趣的聲景。

Finally, combined with bamboo and speakers, there are unplugged and plugged-in options. The sound materials I collected and edited (<-- you can click to listen) are amplified by putting cellphone in the bamboo or connect with speakers. My design allows audience to choose by themselves, so they could feel free to overlay to play multiple sound tracks for hearing the different layers of Fuli's exciting and interesting soundscapes.
