Science Updates

It is not the the standards that you need to look at as those are overarching learning goals like compare and contrast mammals and plants. It is the content used in the classroom. Here is a sample of curriculum that doesn't just teach about ecology, but it is the the content taught in the classroom you have to watch for as parents.  This is a training video but notice there are kids so it is a real classroom. Also note that the Standards are Nevada but the video series is out of the California Dept. of Education?

-example is water pollution and what can we do to keep our waters clean which seems practical

-student says if water is polluted then we may not be able to swim in the water (innocence)

-teacher prompts: 

-jumps to fish will become extinct

-then if they become extinct then other species will die

-them Boom: contraceptives to prevent overpopulation

-Student: China where say supposed to have Just one child, they can be like here too, like, policy to have just one child And every country in the world.

-If people don't like it they gonna retaliate are there gonna be rebellions?
