Regulation 6150: Libraries Open-Souce

Now What?

Step 1: librarians and principals already pick the books

Step 2: parent fills out a book challenge CCF-400

Step 3: the problem-closed door committee that includes librarian and principal (conflict of interest) to have them review the challenge and choose to keep or remove a book they already approved to be on the shelves in the first place.

-the committee needs to be redefined and configured to not include the same people approving the books

NRS 379.040  Library to be free and accessible to public; regulations of trustees.  The library and reading room of any consolidated, county, district or town library must forever be and remain free and accessible to the public, subject to such reasonable regulations as the trustees of the library may adopt.

"On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be untrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts" (1 Thessalonians 2:4).

***A book isn’t banned just because it isn’t stocked in a middle school library

***age-appropriate book vetting is not book banning (fallacy)
