This is the last week I will observe in grade 5 level at St. Cruz Elementary School because next week I will assign at the grade 2 level. As Valentine's Day approached, the students are busy making love cards to their parents and teachers. I joined in and helped them make their cards, providing tips on different arts and crafts skills. Watching their passion and creativity was great as they created handcrafted cards to express their love and thanks. Making love cards with the students for Valentine's Day was a joyful and exciting experience. It was great to see their faces light up with excitement as we collaborated on this creative activity. The classroom was filled with fun and excitement, making it a memorable and delightful experience for everybody participating. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the Valentine's Day celebration at school because it was not an observation day. However, I came the next morning, Thursday, February 15, expecting it to be a normal day. But I was surprised when the pupils gave me handmade cards and nice presents. Their expression of gratitude left me stunned and extremely touched. It was a memorable moment that reminded me of the strong connections I had created with them and made me realize how much I had influenced their lives. Receiving such presents from students was a completely new experience for me. It was my first time receiving such wonderful gestures, and it had a lasting effect. The attention and work they put into making those presents made them much more valuable. It was a truly memorable and cherished moment that I will always treasure.
Overall, the Valentine's Day event at St. Cruz Elementary School was simply spectacular. Although I was unable to attend the ceremony, the surprise of getting cards and presents from the children the next day left me shocked and touched. The love and appreciation shown through their homemade cards and presents reflected the connections we had created throughout my time at the school. It served as a reminder of the important relationships I had formed with the students, and it inspired me to continue having a positive impact on their lives. That day will always remain in a particular place in my heart, reminding me of the genuine connections and tremendous joy that come from being a teacher. It was a fun and wonderful event that I will treasure for years to come.
