This week was our second and third day of observation in St. Cruz Elementary School, First, I had my usual routine like managing the students to clean on their respective parts, it’s important to instill discipline and responsibility in them from an early age. Second, during class discussion, the teacher was teaching the English subject and I’ve noticed this one girl actively participating and responding her teacher with a fluent English. I was amazed on how she speak fluently with accent and the whole class was shocked and also amazed that they gave her a round of applause for appreciation. Third, one of our primary duties during this observation period was to help students who were having difficulty understanding the questions in the teacher's exams or activities. I offered further assistance and explanations to help them understand the questions better. It was rewarding to watch their faces light up when they finally understood and could perform their tasks. Lastly, I'm trying to get to know them a little better by having short conversations. This is helping me feel more comfortable in the classroom. As we continue our journey at St. Cruz Elementary School, I want to build lasting relationships with pupils and teachers while improving our understanding of the educational process. Every day presents new opportunities for development and learning, and I am grateful to be a part of this amazing experience.
