Some of our members have a professional background in archaeology; occasionally we get students looking for practical experience before they begin a university course. Many come along equipped only with a genuine interest and a desire to learn about, explore and contribute to Tameside’s archaeological heritage. TAS encourages al levels of fitness, ages and mental health to get involved and find a way to contribute to your heritage.

Everyone is welcome. Some will come along as a guest which our insurance will cover before they decide whether to join.

We meet every third Thursday in the month at 4, Ralphs Lane, Dukinfield SK16 4UZ to discuss what we are planning and catch up with archaeology news.   

Unfortunately we have to ask members to pay a subscription charge of £20 as a family membership each year.
