Delete your Tallmark account
Version 1.0
Effective date: 10 October 2026
Last updated 10 October 2026
This page is for Tallmark, the height journal and habit game made by New Version Ltd, a New Zealand company. It explains how to delete your Tallmark account and the data that goes with it, either inside the app or, if you cannot open the app, by email. You do not need to log in to use this page, and we will never ask for your name, your date of birth, a photo of you or any measurement.
In short
Tallmark has no sign-up, no email address and no password. Your journal (height, weight, meals, sleep, water, mood, movement, streaks and badges) lives only on your phone. The only things we hold on our own servers are an anonymous Community account (if you joined Community) and a coded link between your phone and a Plus subscription (if you have one).
The fastest way to delete everything is in the app: Settings › Delete account. It removes your journal from your phone and your Community account from our server in one step.
If you cannot open the app, email tallmark.support@newversion.studio with the subject "Account deletion request" and we will delete your Community account (section 2).
A parent or guardian can make the same request for their teenager.
1. Delete your account in the app
1. Open Tallmark and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
2. Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
3. Read what will be deleted, then tap Delete my account and data.
4. Tap Delete everything to confirm. Tallmark takes you back to the welcome screen when it is done.
If your phone cannot reach the internet while you do this and you have joined Community, the app tells you and asks whether to try again later or delete anyway. If you delete anyway, your journal is deleted from your phone at once, but your Community posts stay visible until they are deleted automatically (within 90 days), and the phone forgets its Community sign-in, so you can no longer delete them yourself. You can email us to have them removed sooner (section 2).
If anything could not be deleted, the app tells you what, so you can try again or delete the app.
Deleting your account cannot be undone, because there is no other copy of your records to restore from. If you want to keep a copy first, go to Settings › Your data › Export my records and save the file somewhere you trust.
2. Request deletion by email if you cannot open the app
Use this if you lost your phone, reset it, uninstalled Tallmark, or cannot sign in to Community any more.
Send an email to tallmark.support@newversion.studio with the subject "Account deletion request".
If you joined Community, write your Community nickname exactly as it appears on your posts (for example "Calm Fox 11"). The nickname is the only thing we need to find a Community account, because the account has no name or email attached.
Your nickname is public, so before we delete a Community account we may ask you one question that only its owner could answer, such as roughly what one of your posts or replies said, or which avatar you chose. We will not ask for identity documents, your real name, your date of birth or any health information.
We will reply within a few working days and delete the account within 30 days of confirming that it is yours. We will tell you when it is done.
If you did not join Community, there is no account on our server to find. Your journal was only ever on your phone and is already gone if the app was uninstalled or the phone was reset, so there is nothing for us to delete. You can still email us and we will tell you what, if anything, is held.
A parent or guardian can email us to delete their teenager's Community account in the same way. Please include the nickname if you know it, but not their measurements or health details.
3. What is deleted
Your journal on your phone. Everything you recorded and everything Tallmark worked out from it: your profile, height and weight logs, predicted adult height, meals and meal photos, sleep, water, mood, movement and exercise sessions, daily quests, streaks, badges, reminders and settings. Deleted from your phone at once. We hold no copy.
The Coach conversation and chat id. The questions you typed to Tally and the answers, and the random code your phone used to count chat messages and meal readings for the day. Deleted from your phone at once.
Your Community account. Your nickname, avatar, posts, replies, reactions, blocks, reports you made and your anonymous sign-in. Deleted from our server at once when you use the app, or within 30 days of your confirmed email request. Replies other people wrote under your posts go with the posts.
The link to a Plus subscription. The coded link between your phone and a subscription is removed from our server at once when you use Delete account in the app.
4. What is kept, and for how long
Your Tallmark Plus subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, because Apple or Google bills it, not Tallmark. To stop being charged, cancel it in Google Play (Play Store › Profile › Payments and subscriptions › Subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions). If you do not cancel it, you will keep being charged.
Subscription details on our server. Our server keeps the product (monthly or yearly), whether the subscription is active and until when, and a coded reference to the purchase, with no name, email, Apple ID, Google account or payment details. It is deleted about 400 days after the subscription ends. A phone's coded link is deleted straight away when you use Delete account in the app, and after 90 days without use otherwise.
Counters on our server. To limit how much one phone can use the chat, our server counts the messages and meal readings sent in a day under a scrambled form of the chat id and of the internet address. A phone's counter is deleted after 30 days without a message. It holds no message, no photo and no record.
What the AI providers already received. If you turned on Chat with Tally or photo analysis, your messages and meal photos or descriptions were processed by kie.ai and Anthropic, which run Claude for us. Our server keeps none of it. Anthropic keeps what it was sent for up to about 30 days under its own policy, and longer only if it is flagged for a safety review or required by law. kie.ai does not publish how long it keeps requests. We cannot delete this sooner, because we never had a copy.
Records the stores keep. Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchase and of your download under their own policies. We cannot delete them. See your Apple ID or Google Account privacy settings.
Anything the law requires. We keep nothing else about you. If a law ever requires us to keep something, we will tell you what and for how long when you ask.
5. Delete only part of your data
Leave Community only. Settings › Community › Leave Community and delete my posts removes your nickname, posts, replies, reactions and anonymous account from our server and leaves your journal alone.
One post or reply. Open your own post or reply in Community and delete it there.
One entry in your journal. Open it in its tracker and choose Delete. You can also edit it to fix a mistake.
Turn off the chat or photo analysis. Settings › Chat with Tally, and Settings › Meal photos › Read meals from photos. Nothing more is sent from the next message or meal on.
Posts and replies are deleted automatically after 90 days anyway, and a Community account nobody has opened for a whole year is deleted too.
