Stone Circles

Excerpt from the journal of Wise Lord Cheddarby.

"My travels in service to the king took me all across the lands of Moonshore and into the unknown hinters beyond. Of the many curiocities that studded the wild and dangerous realm, none to me seemed more splendid than the circles made of stone, wood, earth or merely mushrooms and flowers. I came to learn that these places were special, the places where the veils between the worlds are thin."

"It is from these places that travel to other worlds much like our own is possible, and even places almost completely different to our own, wild and dangerous."

Offering

"The gates betwixt the worlds are opened in a variety of ways, most common is an offering of earth and grass and a prayer of peace to the spirits of the circle. Bat cultist prefer sacrifice, but either way the same effect is achieved.

The stones or in some cases the very mushrooms and plant life around the circle will begin to glow with runes that must be read aloud by all who wish to traverse the gate.

A swirl of magic lights and glowing mist is the only sign of the transition for when one travels from one world to the next, it is sometimes hard to tell if any change has happened.

It is with this knowledge I leave you, travel safe betwixt the worlds for there are endless dreams yet to be discovered."
