Moly has spent her life attuning herself to the natural magicks that flow through us all. Becoming a self-taught master sorceress at a young age, she has developed only the best and most powerful artifacts one could obtain for such nominal fees. Molly believes in sharing the gifts of magic, not hiding it away like some uptight squirrel, hoarding away a trove of food for winter’s harsh touch. She sells her wares as cheaply as she can, to share these crafts with all that come.
In this tome, you'll find the most wondrous selection of fine spells, trinkets and artifacts. Moly wishes to share her abilities with all!
Obviously, these spells are jokes or highly dangerous, awful things. They should be used with caution in a game, only used with chaos in mind. Everything in here can easily (by design) kill player mice, hirelings and NPC’s without real care taken. They’ve been designed to be deceptively flashy with terrible side effects.
Players given these spells should be forewarned that something feels off, if you’re running a game where mice may not know a spell’s effect before using it.
Players that can fu ly read and understand a spell’s effects are obviously at their own whims if they wish to end their mouse’s career.
GM’s can easily sow chaos with these items. Here’s some examples.
Enemies firing off spells or using cursed items in desperation, only to cause a traumatizing mess.
NPC villagers running rampant with spells they don’t understand, bought for cheap from a traveling merchant.
Player mice come upon the aftermath of a few of these items being used, trying to figure out what exactly happened.
Cursed items are always dangerous, but can be fun, at the cost of a few mice.
Each section is dedicated to the many different crafts of Master Sorceress Mo ly Muse. Her crafts are so immense and varied, but the selections present within have been narrowed to three.
The new invention of Molly’s genius is the Spell Orb. Designed on glass spheres of human creation, these orbs contain vast powers and energies within. It’s a true manipulation of the humans’ great powers!
Molly isn’t just an accomplished sorceress, baker, and alchemist. She’s also quite keen at smithing! She has honed her assorted crafts into all of her works, folding magicks into arms and armor. She has created near divine power within these simple, yet beautiful pieces.
Molly is quite humble and left out the fact that on top of being an accomplished swimmer, fencer, juggler, and ace pigeon pilot; She’s also quite good at jewelry crafting. These pieces are always the talk of the town. Be it pendants, icons for display, earrings, or rings... they’re sure to surprise you! She also does statuaries!
Moly has toiled hard on her revolutionary new spe l orbs. Gone are the days of obsidian slabs. Observe the power of these glass orbs, etched with spe ls most powerful.
Effect: The user's bones turn to a soft, flexible substance, making the caster turn to a flexible, hard-to-damage... thing, giving them 3 Armor. They, however, cannot move on their own or do anything until the effect ends in [SUM] turns.
Recharge: Cover in cracked and ground up bones for 24hrs.
Effect: Creates a Bubble around the caster that is absolutely impenetrable and indestructible. However, air cannot penetrate either, leaving only 30 seconds of breathable air within. The spell can only be ended by the chanting of a phrase of power for one minute.
Recharge: Leave the spell in its own bubble for 1 full day.
Effect: Anything touched turns to pure gold, temporarily. The effect lasts for [SUM] Hours. If the gold is smelted and shaped, the effects after could be quite horrific.
Recharge: Cast the slab in gold created by this spell.
Effect: The caster’s body is made intangible, able to phase through anything for [SUM] turns. However, this includes what they’re wearing, the ground, and generally everything. The caster will sink into the earth as if it were water, only stopping when the spell runs out or they reach the center of the planet.
Recharge: Bury 1 mile under the surface.
Effect: Summon [SUM]+50 Roaches every 10 minutes for [DICE] Hours.
Recharge: Immerse in 1000 Roach Eggs.
Effect: The caster activates the spell, then the next thing touched is multiplied by 1,000 times instantly. This multiplication happens from the origin point, and will destroy anything not strong enough to contain it. Any multiplied objects that can’t fit in the area violently explode for d8 Damage in a 6in radius. All multiplied objects will disappear the moment the spell is deactivated by a simple phrase while holding the slab, or after [SUM] hours have passed.
Recharge: Place upon or inside 1,000 of the last object multiplied.
Forged by Molly herself, these pieces are guaranteed* to be exactly what you deserve and need!
Upon Activating the gem in the forehead of the helm, the user gains +30 Armor from the layers of automated protection forming a full suit over them. However, if the armor is ever deactivated, it violently crushes anything in the armor as it folds back into itself.
Special: The gem can be targeted by someone else with a successful DEX Save at Disadvantage to deactivate the armor.
When worn, these gauntlets provide +50 STR to any STR based check, except any involving Critical Hits or Damage. However, the gauntlets require 100 STR to lift or use.
D12 Damage + D6 Electric Damage
Curse: Whenever this hammer is swung, it makes a crackling, thunder-like noise. d4 seconds later, lightning strikes the hammer, causing d66 Damage to a l stats to the wielder and anything within 10ft. This effect can trigger underground.
The wearer puts on these fashionable red and white boots, and is imbued with insanely fast speeds, so fast that the body can’t keep up with the legs. The moment the wearer tries to run, their legs speed off without them, leaving them a legless mess on the floor.
D6 Damage. Pierces up to 1 Armor.
Special: If this blade kills the target, the user is compelled to eat the body, no matter what it is or how big, within an hour. If they can’t, the dagger morphs into a shadowy figure of what they last killed, eating them instead.
D8 Damage. Requires no quiver or ammunition.
Special: When drawn, a magical arrow illuminates in place, knocked and ready to fire. Once the arrow hits a target, the mouse who fired is teleported to the point the arrow hit. The wielder then feels the full force of launch and impact, taking d12 damage.
These trinkets are incredibly powerful and radiate their energy simply from being near the owner. Molly truly outdid herself here, the quality of craft is only the best.
This beautiful statue of a sad female mouse crying is a rare wonder. This statue wishes to be with the owner forever, permanently taking up 2 inventory slots. Attempting to remove her results in the figure becoming more and more distraught, until metal spikes burst from the base, taking up 2 more inventory slots and dealing d10 damage. The damage wil never heal.
This ring is adorned with red gems and an etched, crystalized piece of sulfur. When worn, the ring attaches itself to the owner. If the finger isn’t removed immediately, the finger begins sparking like a fuse. The pain is indescribable, but what comes next is worse. Once the “fuse” reaches the ring (10 seconds), the wearer explodes, dealing d10+10 damage in a 12in radius.
This carved and polished false eye grants the user with knowledge of everything. The eye must be put into their own eye socket. Immediately, knowledge begins pouring into their vision and mind. The process immediately sets their WIL to 0, driving them utterly and tota ly insane. They may lash out at others around them or simply run off screaming. The stress of it a l will end their life in d4 hours.
A small seed that is too tough to eat. It has a solid black sheen, with a blue, mirrored effect. Planting this seed quickly sprouts a strange yellow and blue flower that drips 100 Pips per day. To do so, however, its magical roots will find and dig into the planter and everyone they hold dear as they sleep, permanently draining d6 STR from all of them, nightly, until death. Once the planter is dead, the plant withers, leaving behind a new seed. The pips produced turn a foul brown, and melt a day later.
Note: The pips produced do not count towards any experience gained. Any purchases made or constructions ordered with the pips will be cursed. Structures crumble, items break, and merchants will not sell to them.
A simple bag of magical tea. Any who drink this tea will become enamored with each other, unable to break away from each others’ stares. They will stay this way, forever. Even if separated, they will always know which way to look and will focus on them. If one of them is injured or dies, the other experiences it. They only care about looking at their love.
The wearer will experience the dreams of everyone around them. If they find a good dream, they are transported there physically, living the dream until it ends. Once the dreamer wakes up, the wearer disappears with the dream.
