Spinoff Alternate Universes

A Spinoff Alternate Universe (AU) is a universe created based upon Tales from Equestria, but that takes things in a direction outside of the canon. Perhaps different NPCs exist with similar lore, huge events take place that would drastically change the canon, or direct descents of FiM characters are present. Anytime a creator wants to use parts of Tales from Equestria, but wants to make drastic changes or break outside of lore confines, they may do so by creating a Spinoff AU.

Spinoff AUs must function under the following rules:

• They do not affect other creators' characters nor the canon of the Tales from Equestria AU.

• They are not used to create exploitative, harassing, or illegal content.

• They do not monetize any aspects shared with the Tales from Equestria AU.
