Here you'll find answers to common questions about therapy and how we can work together.
The first session is about understanding your concerns, history, and goals for therapy. It’s a space for you to share as much as you feel comfortable with, and together, we will outline a therapeutic plan that suits your needs.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or finding it difficult to navigate your thoughts or emotions, therapy can offer a supportive space to work through it. You don’t need to have a diagnosis to seek support. Therapy is for anyone who wants to better understand themselves and improve their overall well-being.
Yes, I offer online sessions. This allows flexibility and accessibility, especially if you have a busy schedule or prefer therapy from the comfort of your home.
Sessions typically last 50 to 60 minutes. The frequency depends on your needs, some people prefer 1 or 2 sessions weekly, while others may space them out more as they progress.
Individual therapy sessions are typically in the ₹1200–₹1500 range per session, depending on availability and current capacity.
A reduced fee of ₹800–₹1000 is available for competitive exam aspirants who are currently not working.
For NRI clients, sessions are in the ₹1500–₹2000 range per session.
I also hold a limited number of sliding-scale slots based on financial need. These are often full, and a short waitlist may apply. If affordability is a concern, you’re welcome to reach out—we can see what might work.
Yes, therapy is strictly confidential.
The only exceptions include situations where there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, when disclosure is required by law (such as a court order), or when I seek professional supervision. In cases of supervision, any information shared is de-identified to protect your privacy.
Confidentiality and its limits are discussed in detail during our first session and are also clearly outlined in the informed consent and therapy agreement shared before we begin working together.
Absolutely. Therapy is voluntary, and you can decide when to pause or end it. We can also have a closing session to review progress and discuss ways to maintain your well-being moving forward.
As a counselling psychologist, I work with individuals navigating a wide range of emotional, psychological, and life challenges. My practice is open to anyone seeking support.
Currently, I work with concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
I also work closely with competitive exam aspirants : supporting both those who are looking to build a more sustainable and structured preparation routine, improve efficiency and productivity, and enhance overall well-being, as well as those experiencing burnout, anxiety, lowered self-esteem, and the emotional toll that often comes with long-term preparation.
If you’re unsure whether I’m the right fit, you’re welcome to book a 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs.
I am not a crisis counselor. If you are in immediate distress or facing a crisis, please reach out to a crisis helpline or emergency services in your area. (Check out the list in the Resources section.)
