Our main suppliers are directly from one of the local villagers from Puncak Borneo who produce an organic, finest and high quality coffee beans for our business with an affordable prices and through this we able to offer good prices of our coffee drinks for our customers. Mrs Helen Ngot became our official coffee beans supplier because she is really expert in producing such a high quality coffee beans with a good prices compared to other suppliers.

• Selling coffee

Our main objective is to promote our coffee drinks by using local coffee beans. We will ensure our customers will enjoy our bittersweet freshly brew coffee from Tajau Kupi. In order to produce a good quality coffee drinks, we will be using high quality ingredients which can help to attract more customers to our Tajau Kupi booth and re-purchase our coffee drinks. We also ensure that our coffee shop is selling a high-quality bakery coffee drinks and it is safe to be purchase by our customers.

• Customer services

We will start our day by preparing order for customers. For example, we prepare customers order according to their order and preferences of their coffee drinks. Every team members will do their tasks which are brewing the coffee, cleaning, checking out the orders and taking orders over the counter at our booth. Moreover, we will manage our stocks by receiving and recording the items such as fresh milk,ice cubes, packaging and coffee beans from our suppliers. After we done preparing our customers order, we will call them to take their orders from our booth. A operational teams will be handling in making and preparing the coffee drinks.

• 100% from team members

In order for Tajau Kupi business to be sucessful, we are fully relying on the team members of Tajau Kupi. Therefore, one of our team members had the experienced working as a barista and a few of our team members expert in managing the business and managing the financial and cash flow of this business. Nevertheless, most of our team members are having their own specialties in certain task in managing the business and making coffee drinks that contribute to the resources of Tajau Kupi. Our team members will come out with unique taste of coffee drinks that can attract more customers. On the other hand, for team members that doesn’t expert in making coffee drinks, they can help us by taking care of the counter and re-stocking ice cubes and fresh milks but at the same time, they can learn how to make coffee drinks.

• Financial modal come from our team members

Team members contributed their own personal fund to start up our business. All of us agreed to pool RM25 from each person.

• Ingredients

We will be provided by our suppliers for the ingredients to do the coffee drinks. As for the ingredients for coffee drinks, all these ingredients will be store securely in the inventory by one of our team members. We ensure that all of our ingredients are halal such as coffee beans, fresh milks which specifically used for barista making coffee drinks and ice cubes bought from one the local supermarket in Kota Samarahan. We use fresh and high quality coffee beans and fresh milks. By using fresh and high-quality products, we able to produce and maintain the freshness and enhance the flavors in coffee drinks.

• Ensure our coffee drinks are worth the price.

For our coffee shop, we make sure that our coffee drinks are worth the price for our customers because not everyone want to spend their money on something that is overprice for something really simple and didn't meet their expectations. Through this business, we wanted to promote that our local coffee beans can be as good as the imported coffee beans. That is our main objective to set up this business. This is to ensure that all people with different background able to afford to buy our coffee drinks from Tajau Kupi.

To maintain the uniqueness taste and smell of our coffee, our high quality coffee beans will be produce from a local single origin products. Mrs Helen Ngot, who produce coffee beans for us and she will be our official coffee beans supplier for our Tajau Kupi.

We will be selling a good quality and unique taste of coffee drinks by using a high quality coffee beans from the single origin product. Most coffee lovers wanted to try the real authentic taste of coffee drinks. We do received complain from customers that most coffee drinks from typical coffee shops taste the same, there is no unique taste of it and overprice.

Our relationship customers also include with providing the best service for the customers. Our customers will be greet with open hands and receive a good service by our team members when they are coming to our booth. This to ensure that our customers will re-purchase our products from coffee shop.

Our business located at Unimas, Kota Samarahan. Kota Samarahan is a place where most students pursuing their studies either at Unimas or UiTM Samarahan. These students are our main target since most students need coffee to boost up their energy. Their curiosity and eager to try something new that gives us opportunity to set this business.

We also targeting the staff of Unimas since they are one able to afford to buy more coffees compared to students and their workplace is quite near to our business location too. They do need coffee every morning to boost their energy throughout the day.

In order to boost our sales and letting Tajau Kupi to be known widely among Kota Samarahan people, we will use social media such Facebook and Instagram to promote, advertising Tajau Kupi and to stay connected with our potential buyers. In our Facebook and Instagram is Tajau Kupi, we will introduce our coffee shop and promoting our coffee drinks by posting on social media time to time. This ensure that our customers able to know the menu of our coffee drinks. We also providing email and contact number on our social media for customers to contact us for more details about Tajau Kupi. This platform gives a huge impact on digital marketing.

Besides that, since Coronavirus hits Malaysia so bad, our customers can contacting and send feedbacks of our coffee drinks through Whatsapp. This will help to reduce human contact and cutting the coronavirus chain leading to less people getting infected from Coronavirus. After sales services, customers will be asked about their honest reviews and feedback when they buy our coffee drinks from Tajau Kupi. It is important because we want to give the best to our customers and improvise our business and services.

To produce a good quality coffee drinks for our customers, we are selecting the highest and the finest coffee beans from the local. The cost of making coffee drinks of Tajau Kupi is average RM 90 because we are focusing on the taste of the coffee drinks and the quality as well.

During the booth carnival, we are not allow to bring our equipment. We brewed our coffee from home and bringing a simple equipment such as milk frothier instead to make milk foam for our Iced caramel latte.

Our team focusing on marketing and advertising to promote our business. Through this, we able to attract more customers to visit our booth and our coffee drinks will be known widely at Kota Samarahan and outside Kota Samarahan.

We will receive service tips as well from the customers if the customers satisfied and happy with their coffee drink. This service tips contribute a lot into our sales too.

The source of revenues of Tajau Kupi is come from the sales of coffee drinks during booth carninal held at Detar, Unimas. Our signature coffee drinks such as Iced Americano, Iced latte and Iced caramel latte. Iced caramel latte is high in demand and become people’s favourite coffee drinks of all time. These customers who purchasing coffee drinks directly from our booth during carvinal contributes a lot into the revenue streams of Tajau Kupi.
