Nowadays, in Malaysia as in other developing countries the business sector has an enormous potential for improving the nation economy and income. Because of this positive development, we find ourselves interested in getting involved in the business sector. As we have seen, there are a lot of businesses in Malaysia, especially in the beverages industry. So we take this opportunity to bring out our name, which is Tajau Kupi. Tajau Kupi was founded by six members and the establishment of Tajau Kupi was on 15th November 2022.

Tajau Kupi is a business that provides unique taste of coffee drinks by using a single origin from the coffee farmer at Puncak Borneo. These days, people currently demand on the products that has unique taste of coffee drinks. As for this, we decided to introduce 3 main of our coffee drinks such Iced Americano, Iced latte, and Iced Caramel Latte to allow them to grab this deal to have this product at the reasonable and worth of the coffee price. Our company name inspired from the meaning of Tajau and Kupi. Tajau is a pottery vase practice by the Dayak in Borneo, in the making of a coffee, a cup of coffee resembles the Tajau and Kupi is coffee in Bahasa Iban. From that, we got the idea to name our coffee shop, Tajau Kupi.

The Tajau Kupi brings us to promote Sarawak's coffee beans and wanted to show and prove to our people the uniqueness of our coffee drinks by using Sarawak coffee bean. Our coffee shop located at Unimas, Kota Samarahan. The chosen location is considered strategic to start a business because of its facilities and business environments. This place is near to Unimas, UiTM Kampus Samarahan and Kampus Samarahan 2 which is easier for us to pick our targeted customers. Tajau Kupi offers provides cashless payment, e- wallet such as QR Duitnow and TnG. Our customers can get to know more about our coffee drinks, deals, promotions and our operation hour through online such as social media of Tajau Kupi on Instagram and Facebook. Kota Samarahan is an area that a lot of events are occurring, our coffee shop have, offers special coffee drinks orders for customers and receive many orders when there are any occasions such as Parent's Day, Teacher's Day or Birthday party. These special occasions able to help to boost our sales.

Our vision is to ensure our urban taste of Sarawak coffee drinks will become people favourite coffee drinks as well as the foreign coffee lovers. Our mission is to enable our customers to enjoy our Sarawak coffee drinks, attract the appetite of our young generation people to love the uniqueness taste of Sarawak coffee as well as providing the highest quality of our coffee drinks and excellent service for our customers. The objectives of our company, we want to widen our business by establish more branches, promoting the uniqueness of Sarawak coffee beans produced by our local coffee farmers and bring our product to the international level and to lift up the name of our company to be comparable with other large company around the world.

Factors influencing choice of business location

a) Distance from the source of raw materials and packging

The distance from our shop with the supplier is not so far. The availability of this supplier make it easy for us to get our raw materials and packaging. It also will reduce our transportation cost and production cost.

b) Distance from customers

In Unimas, the distance between us and customer is very near as

our location is near to students' colleges and it is quite near to Student Pavilion. With this surrounding, it will make us near to the customer and customer can stop by and purchase our coffee drinks from our shop. This will increase our demand yet increase our revenue.

c) Basic amenities

Basic amenities are available in our area because it is a developing city, a

lot of facilities and amenities have been provided such as, water, electricity, telephone and internet. This will make our service more efficient and effective as all basic need have been provided. This will also make our operating go smoothly

Tajau Kupi is a form of business based on partnerships which consist of six members which hold important position such as General Manager, Administration Manager, Marketing Manager, Operational Manager and Financial Manager. Tajau Kupi focusing on selling beverages and will be a coffee shop that offers services for customers, providing unique flavours and smell for variety of coffee drinks that the gives high satisfaction to the customer and Unimas, Kota Samarahan

We will be operating everyday from 8:30am until 4:30pm except on public holiday and Sunday.
