Our mission

TAIGA Social AI focus area is dedicated to develop Umeå University's capacity for research, education, social impact, and visibility internally, nationally, and internationally on the topic of socially-aware artificial intelligence.

The focus area approach is dedicated to capitalize on  Umeå University internal capacity for transdisciplinary collaboration by developing and strengthening its internal networks and methodological envelope as well as stimulating its activity through the establishment of national and international initiatives on social AI research, education, and social impact and creating visibility for Umeå University's research and academic activities.
