Online Merit Badge Worksheets

The worksheets are not created by the BSA nor hosted by BSA web sites. These are unofficial aids created by 3rd parties to help Scouts in completing the merit badge requirements. Per BSA guideline, Scouts may choose to use them but not required.
GGAC National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)

NYLT is a week-long advanced leadership training for 13 year olds and above. Scouts must be 1st Class and must have taken the Troop Leadership Training Course prior to NYLT to be able to participate.

Adults that go camping regularly should take Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training and the Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS). Adults interested in furthering their leadership skills should consider Wood Badge after completing the Leadership specific training.
There are a number of other opportunities for training provided by the local council. Basic Backpacking Awareness, Powder Horn, CPR First Aid and Wilderness First Aid are highly recommended courses for high adventure programs. For any outdoor scouting event, BSA expects at least one adult be trained on these courses.
