The Boy Scout Uniform is a symbol for the qualities of a Boy Scout exhibited in the Oath and Law. When properly worn, a Scout can show his community that he follows the values set forth and is a leader among his peers. It is up to the Scouts to maintain this positive reputation that comes with the uniform.
Scouts and Scout Leaders should wear the Class A uniform for all ceremonial and indoor activities including troop meetings, Board of Review and Court of Honor. The Class A uniform should also be worn during special outdoor occasions such as flag ceremonies, Troop showcase, popcorn sales, travel to or from Scout activities and campouts, and special times during summer camp. Troop 155 T-shirt is also part of the Class A uniform - you never know when you may need to remove your Class A shirt for activities.
During physically active outdoor events and informal activities, Scouts should wear the Class B uniform.
A Scout is expected to respect the uniform by keeping the shirt tucked in and kept orderly. Scout uniforms are required for most Scout events. When in doubt, wear the uniform. In accordance with the BSA Charter, any imitation of military uniforms is prohibited. Camouflage pants, shorts, shirts and hats are prohibited and open-ended shoes and sandals are prohibited.
