Colegio 25 de Mayo No. 5049 was founded in 1985 when it was split from Colegio Secundario 20 de febrero. In its beginnings, the school did not have its own building, had few students, and only had an afternoon shift for students over 18 years old. The social demand and the good administration of the school led it to become a school with its own building, with a great demand for seats, and with afternoon and morning shifts. It is a school that constantly seeks to improve and to offer a better service.
The classroom was huge, which facilitated group work, although it extended the teacher's action zone. The classroom was well illuminated, and a Smart TV was available upon request. Classes were held on Thursdays with 80 minutes of classes, and on Fridays with only 40 minutes.
The class I was assigned was the only fifth year of the morning shift. The class consisted of 35 students, with both male and female students. The class was very participatory and respectful despite the fact that there were so many students to monitor. The students had never worked with L2 in the language procedure and were used to working with the book. For these reasons, it was very difficult for them to do listening and speaking activities. They never had too much trouble with reading and writing.
