07/10/22 Before the First Class
In the correction of the final task and the planning of the first day of class, one of the first relevant moments arose. Points to highlight, the final task seemed to me very original, a fact that I emphasized. On the other hand, I made corrections to the linguistic context of the final task.
During the first class the lesson started a little slow, but by modifying the pacing, Leandro managed to finish on time. We talked about the pacing of the classes at the end of the class. I recommended him to make the games shorter. We also talked about the contexts when teaching grammar or vocabulary.
Before the second class, I was able to correct Leandro's planning on some aspects, Leandro had problems with the objectives of the classes, especially differentiating structural objectives from interactional ones. On the other hand, some activities seemed to me a bit long.
10/28/22 Third Class
In the third class, teacher Alina made her first observation and corrected several aspects of the class. Especially the excessive use of the native language and the translation of words. We had a meeting after the class, as usual to discuss the corrections.
In the fourth class again Professor Alina and offered us feedback on the class. She pointed out some issues that neither of us had considered. She recommended changes in the songs, and advised us not to improvise activities. After the class we stayed to discuss the mistakes made by both of us.
In the fifth class, we fine-tuned all the points we had discussed. The class went smoothly. All the activities were done, everyone finished on time and for the first time we felt satisfied with the class. We saw the progress of the students, and they were behaving better.
Due to an emergency, I was unable to attend the last class, but I had a final meeting with Leandro. He told me about his class, he was happy to say that he passed the class, and that the Final Task was a success.
