What We Do

PTO Meetings are open to all Syracuse Latin teachers and families, and PTO membership is completely free. Syracuse Latin PTO meetings typically include discussion of upcoming events, updates from school administrators, discussion of topical issues and concerns, and shared decision-making around where PTO commits its resources. 

Meeting links for online meetings are shared in  the calendar on the News and Events tab, the PTO newsletter and via Talking Points updates from school administration.  Bi-Annual in-person meetings take place in the school library or courtyard.

Because Syracuse Latin draws students from all across the city, we work hard to create opportunities for students and families to socialize outside of the school day. We also want to create a strong sense of school identity and pride. Some of our annual events include:

• Ice Skating @ Clinton Square

• Multicultural & Academic Enrichment Festival

• Fall Fest

• Holiday Shoppes

• Popsicles on the Playground

• Group outing to Syracuse Crunch and Syracuse Mets

Syracuse Latin PTO wants to make our school the very best place to learn, teach, and work! To that end, we partner with the School to support key initiatives, including:

• Quarterly Academic Recognition Breakfasts

• Teacher Appreciation Week

• Stock the Teachers Lounge &  Curriculum Night Dinner for Teachers

• End of Year Field Trips for Students

• Classroom Mini-Grants for Teachers

• Student Incentives & Special Building Projects
