Friends of Syracuse Latin

Are you the parent or guardian of a current Syracuse Latin student? Do you work at the Syracuse Latin School? If so, you are automatically part of the Friends of Syracuse Latin PTO. You don't have to register or pay dues to be involved, and you are invited to participate in any way that feels right for you. 

Established in 2013, the Syracuse Latin School is a public K-8 elementary school in the City of Syracuse with a vision to celebrate learning by providing an academically rigorous curriculum with a focus on leadership, citizenship and intellectual growth.

Friends of Syracuse Latin is a 501c3 nonprofit and the school’s PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization). Our Mission is to:

• Foster positive relationships, facilitate communication, and build community among students, families, community stakeholders and school staff;

• Organize events, fundraisers, and projects that support Latin’s educational aims and cultural functions;

• Advocate for a quality education for all students; and

• Develop parent and family leadership and participation, providing opportunities for families to participate in shared decision-making for the benefit of the school and its students.
