Friends of Syracuse Latin

Established in 2013, the Syracuse Latin School is a public K-8 elementary school in the City of Syracuse with a vision to celebrate learning by providing an academically rigorous curriculum with a focus on leadership, citizenship and intellectual growth.

Friends of Syracuse Latin is a 501c3 nonprofit and the school’s PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization). Our Mission is to:

• Foster positive relationships, facilitate communication, and build community among students, families, community stakeholders and school staff;

• Organize events, fundraisers, and projects that support Latin’s educational aims and cultural functions;

• Advocate for a quality education for all students; and

• Develop parent and family leadership and participation, providing opportunities for families to participate in shared decision-making for the benefit of the school and its students.
