During the Coronavirus outbreak in January, our team was still looking for ways to help out. We decided to use our skills to provide and serve in our local community. In this project we had all of our team members contribute. Together, we were able to design 3D printed visors which turned into face shields used by doctors and nurses across Long Island. We also created a thank you video for our doctors, as well as wrote encouraging messages.

During the COVID - 19 outbreak, we also started a CAD (Computer Aided Design) outreach, the CADemy, a program that 3 of the team members created to teach CAD to younger kids while maintaining social distance guidelines during COVID-19. This program allows ELITE to continue to reach out to the community and spread the ideas of Robotics and CAD. The classes are completely free and open to kids of all ages.

During the pandemic, our team started doing Coding classes with three different programs, a beginner program using Scratch Junior, roblox coding sessions, and video courses using scratch coding. These programs allow ELITE to continue to reach out to the community and spread the ideas of Robotics and Coding. The classes are completely free and open to kids of all ages.
