Our PYP learners embraced the Inquirer profile through curiosity-driven, hands-on activities that encouraged them to ask questions, explore, and reflect. PYP 5 learner, Ryan Tingre, an international football player, delivered an inspiring guest session for PYP 2 students on the importance of self-awareness. Through stories from the pitch, he illustrated how recognizing our strengths, abilities, and passion and pursuing what we truly love can guide us toward making conscious, positive choices that lead to success. His message encouraged our younger learners to begin their own journey of becoming more self-aware.

Embracing the beauty of Hindi and the stories it carries – Happy Hindi Diwas!

This Hindi Diwas, our PYP learners celebrated the richness and significance of Hindi, one of India’s most cherished languages. As part of Hindi Week, they engaged in thoughtful activities such as poster making, poetry recitation, and autobiography presentations, which enabled them to develop a deeper appreciation of how language serves as a link to culture, heritage, and community. Through these experiences, they realized that language is not merely a collection of words, but a bridge to understanding, creativity, cultural pride, and connections that endure for a lifetime.

Organizing little minds! 

PYP 1 students were engaged in an insightful guest session by Ms. Shweta Modi, aligning with the How We Organize Ourselves theme and the line of inquiry, Ways to Organize Our Thoughts and Time.  Ms. Modi introduced simple calm-down strategies to help students pause, reflect, and think clearly before responding. She highlighted how organizing thoughts supports better decision-making and how managing emotions saves time and fosters harmony. Students later reflected on a key takeaway to apply in their lives, understanding how better thought and time organization lead to a smoother, more balanced daily life.

Ms. Anjum Rahim conducted an engaging session on Encouraging Growth Mindset Through Sketchnotes. She skillfully introduced participants to the concepts of fixed and growth mindsets. The highlight was using sketchnoting—a creative visual note-taking technique combining words, images, and symbols—to explore these concepts. Ms. Rahim demonstrated how sketchnotes help learners visualize their thinking, boosting reflection, creativity, and deeper understanding. Participants engaged in hands-on activities, leaving the session with a powerful tool to enhance both learning and self-awareness.

As part of our Well-being unit, a guest speaker session was organized to nurture a growth mindset and highlight its importance. We were grateful to have Ms. Deepa Prasad, HOD of the SEN department, lead this session. Through engaging games, thought-provoking videos, and inspiring stories, she connected deeply with our learners. The session not only inspired them but also encouraged meaningful reflections, with many already expressing how they can apply a positive mindset in their own learning journey.

The session was taken by Danish Dalmiya on the topic of How Being Self-aware Helps You in Achieving Goals. The session highlighted the importance of knowing our strengths, challenges, and interests, and how this understanding makes our goals more meaningful. Learners reflected on what they are good at and even set a small personal goal for themselves. It was inspiring to see an older student guide the younger ones with such confidence, making the session both engaging and encouraging.

International Dot Day,  inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot, encourages children to make their mark and see where it leads. Our young artists celebrated the day by exploring creativity, self-expression, and confidence, using dots as a starting point for imagination. Learners created vibrant dot-filled fish, crafted polka dot pumpkins inspired by Yayoi Kusama, and explored mandala art with dots, blending balance, repetition, and individuality. Through these hands-on experiences, students  developed a deeper appreciation for self-expression.

Mental Well Being 

We were delighted to host Sharanya Sriram, Founder of S.L.A.T.E., for an inspiring session on Spiritual Well-being with our PYP 5 learners. Through stories and reflections, Ms. Sriram explored What is Spirituality?, framing it as a compass for purpose, peace, and resilience. She also connected this to the Japanese concept of Ikigai—the intersection of passion, skill, need, and livelihood—as a path to discovering meaning. The session was a valuable addition to our learners' Well-being unit, promoting inner growth and holistic development.

Opening doors with open minds!

Our PYP learners explored the Open-Minded profile through activities that encouraged embracing new experiences. They engaged with stories, discussions, and hands-on challenges that pushed them to reconsider perspectives, try new things, and reflect on how openness affects learning and everyday life. Grade 3 students showcased six plays in six different languages — French, Marathi, English, Spanish, Korean, and Hindi — each highlighting a unique aspect of international mindedness such as greetings, festivals, travel, food, and friendship.

From Discovery to Display- Our Young Learners Shine!!

This month, PYP learners amazed their parents with presentations from their Unit of Inquiry during the first Student-Led Conference. 

Taking ownership of their learning, they guided parents through their discoveries, shared research, answered questions, and demonstrated a deep understanding of the Central Idea. Through role play, songs, and reflections, students presented what they know, which helped them to discover that their voice is powerful and valued. It was a proud moment for them to showcase their growth in action.

Our PYP 2 learners celebrated World Animal Day (Oct 3rd) with a commitment to the theme, “Save Animals, Save the Planet.” After exploring why animal protection is crucial, every student made a promise to care for a chosen animal.

A Stellar Space Week!

PYP students successfully concluded an inspiring Space Week filled with curiosity and collaboration. The celebration served as a bridge between classroom learning and the vastness of the cosmos, engaging learners in discussions about celestial phenomena and the human element of space exploration. Students were deeply inspired by the journey of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and actively engaged as future space settlers, exploring the complex, practical challenges of living away from Earth. Under the Unit of Inquiry ‘Biodiversity and Human Interactions that Affect the Balance of an Ecosystem’, PYP 4 learners embarked on an exciting field trip to Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, Katraj, gaining insights into the diversity of life forms and human influence on ecosystems. Our exploration began with a visit to the Snake Park, followed by spotting diverse carnivorous and herbivorous animals like deer, sambar, tigers, cheetahs, and lionesses, all uniquely adapted to their habitats. Learners also explored the zoo's various biomes, discussing how water hyacinths in lakes affect aquatic ecosystems. Learners remained actively engaged throughout, connecting real-world observations to classroom learning. The trip enhanced their understanding of biodiversity, adaptation, and ecological balance.

Grade 3 students undertook an educational field trip to Katraj Dairy, investigating the fascinating transformations milk undergoes to meet various needs. They witnessed the different phases of milk processing and packaging, facilitating a greater understanding of how matter can alter its state. Throughout the visit, the learners displayed curiosity and posed insightful questions. The day concluded joyfully with everyone savoring a cup of ice cream and reflecting on their newfound knowledge.

As part of the Unit of Inquiry Sharing the Planet, PYP 2 learners visited the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, Katraj. They observed a variety of animals, including monkeys, snakes, crocodiles, deer, tigers, and peacocks, learning how each adapts to its surroundings. For example, snakes use camouflage to stay safe, deer rely on their speed to escape predators, and tigers use their sharp claws and stealth to hunt. Learners also noticed how animals find food, protect themselves, and adjust to different habitats. The trip gave them real-life examples of survival instincts and adaptations, making their classroom learning more meaningful and engaging

Grade 3 students, as part of the Unit of Inquiry ‘Matter’, participated in enriching hands-on learning experience at the school's Chemistry Lab. Under the expert guidance of Ms. Reena, the school's chemistry specialist, they delved into the fascinating world of changes in the states of matter.

Students had the opportunity to observe various scientific instruments, such as beakers and flasks, and learned how liquids adapt to the shape of their containers. A highlight of the visit was an engaging experiment demonstrating chemical change and the water cycle. This allowed the students to gain firsthand insight into the transformation of liquid into gas and its subsequent condensation back into liquid.

Our PYP 1-5 students recently participated in the 5th virtual IISP Literary fest held on 15th and 16th October. They participated in various writing and speaking activities, showcasing their innate creativity and imagination. Veer Jain of PYP 3 bagged third position in Spontaneo, spinning an enchanting tale with a given set of words. From creative storytelling and poetry recitation to impromptu speech and pitching a book plot, the festival truly celebrated the power of language. These inter-school events make an excellent occasion of collaborative learning and growing of PYP  as a community across the globe.

Grade 1 learners explored "Developmental stages of living things" in a guest session led by Ms. Pranjal Rode, under the theme "How the World Works." Ms. Pranjal clearly explained the butterfly life cycle (egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, butterfly).  She used personal anecdotes, pictures, and videos of her experience nurturing a caterpillar to illustrate the process. Engaging stories and facts about caterpillar growth fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation for nature's transformations.

The spirit of artistry was vibrantly alive as our PYP students showcased their immense talent in a special assembly for International Artists Day. The event was a spectacular tapestry woven with threads of music, dance, drama, and rhythm, highlighting the diverse skills integral to a well-rounded personality. The students' performances were filled with rhythmic mastery, dramatic narration and energetic footwork expressing the universal language of performing arts. The event celebrated creativity in various art forms, proving that each individual can find their unique voice and expression through the arts.

PYP 1 learners embarked on an enriching field trip to Ecoville Farm as a hands-on experience for their unit on Life Cycles, where they learned about  how living things go through a process of change. They explored the characteristics of living things and identified key factors influencing their life cycles. Learners enthusiastically participated in activities such as a treasure hunt, seed sowing, a bullock cart ride, and feeding farm animals. These real-life experiences helped them connect classroom learning with the natural world. It was a day filled with joy, discovery, and meaningful learning as they interacted closely with nature.

Grade 5 students attended an enlightening online guest session on Renewable Energy conducted by Mr. Dipesh Mehta, Director at KPI Green Energy, a leading company in the field of wind and solar power. The session was highly interactive and offered valuable insights into the company’s ongoing projects and contributions towards sustainable energy solutions. Mr. Mehta’s informative presentation provided students with a deeper understanding of renewable energy sources, supported by real-world data and examples. The session effectively enhanced the students’ knowledge and awareness of the growing significance of green energy in today’s world.

Embracing the Unknown: Our Learners as Risk-Takers 

Our PYP students across Grades 1-5 have been actively exploring and embodying the Learner Profile attribute of Risk-Taker this month, demonstrating courage in both their inquiry and personal growth. The varied learning engagements and stories encouraged them to embrace challenges and expand their horizons. The students further reflected on the prompt: “I am a risk taker because…” where they shared personal examples of how they stepped out of their comfort zones. By internalizing and using the powerful phrase, “I can do it,” they built confidence in their abilities and enhanced their opportunities for new learning.

Our PYP learners truly embraced World Kindness Day, focusing on the 'ripple effect' of positive actions to brighten someone's day. Through activities like writing thank-you notes, playing Kindness Bingo, and practicing kindness towards animals, students understood that giving and receiving kindness should be a daily habit.The students also reflected on the acts of kindness they notice around them and those they wanted to practice. They recognized how key character traits—like effort, helpfulness, and integrity—are essential for building a supportive and inclusive environment within our school and wider communities.

Children's Day for PYP students (Grades 1-5) was an absolute celebration of joy and laughter! This year, the teachers took center stage, trading their lesson plans for hilarious costumes and brilliant moves. The performances like mime dance, funny dance, an entertaining skit, and heartfelt songs got giggles and cheer from the audience. This special day was the teacher's way of letting them know how much they love their students, appreciate their brilliant minds, and cherish the kindness they bring to school every single Happy Children's Day!

On November 24th, PYP 4 learners were treated to an illuminating poetry session by the distinguished guest poet, Vickrant Siing. In a captivating demonstration, he used words spontaneously offered by the children to forge an immediate poem—beautifully illustrating how simple, everyday moments and authentic feelings can be transmuted into expressive verse. Mr. Siing then expertly guided the young minds through the alchemy of poetry, showing how their raw emotions, nascent thoughts, and personal experiences could be shaped into meaningful lines and vivid imagery. By sharing and narrating excerpts from his own published works, he granted the students a glimpse into the creative process, reinforcing the idea of poetry as a natural vehicle for self-expression. The entire experience clearly left our budding writers feeling both galvanised and eager to approach their own poetic endeavors with newfound confidence and unbridled imagination.

Our PYP 1–5 students celebrated Fibonacci Day which is observed on November 23rd, a date chosen because 11/23 represents the first numbers of the Fibonacci sequence—1, 1, 2, 3. 

The day is observed to help students appreciate the beauty of mathematical patterns and how they appear in nature and everyday life. 

Through hands-on activities such as building number sequences, creating Fibonacci-inspired art, and spotting spirals in nature, students discovered how this special pattern shows up in flowers, shells, pinecones, and more, helping them strengthen their reasoning skills and see the meaningful connection between math and the natural world.

To enrich their current Unit of Inquiry, 'Exploration,' our Grade 3 learners embarked on an insightful field trip to the historic Pataleshwar Caves on J.M. Road. This excursion allowed the students to delve deeper into how ancient communities engaged in exploration and resource utilization. Learners meticulously explored the site, closely examining its unique structure and learning about its historical significance, particularly its early use as a place of shelter and its connection to the ancient Shiva temple. The visit was significantly enhanced by a guest session led by Ms. Archana, who provided a detailed historical context and expertly guided the students, helping them fully comprehend the purpose and creation of the monument. This deeply meaningful experience successfully allowed our learners to solidify their understanding of historical exploration within a tangible context.

SIS successfully hosted its vibrant Literary Festival from November 26th to 28th, a three-day celebration designed to foster a deep love for reading and creative expression across the Primary Years Programme. The festival began with inspiring virtual story sessions, featuring the interactive storytelling of Ms. Peenal for PYP 1-2 learners and an insightful discussion on authorship by Ms. Sharnya Sriram for PYP 3-5 students. Throughout the event, students engaged in enriching literacy activities like "Painting a Story with Words," Picture Comprehension, and fun riddles. The celebration culminated with Character Parade, where both students and teachers dressed as their favourite literary figures, complemented by the collaborative creation of a vibrant graffiti wall dedicated to sharing their collective passion for literature through words and illustrations.

The 2nd Student-Led Conference provided a meaningful opportunity for parents to connect with their child’s learning in class. The learners led their parents through a variety of written work, class activities, and classroom displays that highlighted their growth during the unit. Students explained the processes behind their tasks, shared the goals they had set for themselves, and reflected on the progress they made in different subjects; they demonstrated how their skills had developed—from early drafts to final pieces. Our PYP 3 students were thrilled to welcome Jay Anadakt Kumar, an extraordinary explorer who has travelled the world, driven by immense courage and curiosity. He's best known for his impressive MapMyCountry adventure, where he circumnavigated 2,000 kilometers across India in just 70 days in his trusty jeep! In a truly captivating session,  Mr. Jay shared personal stories from his travels—tales of discovering new places, meeting diverse people, and overcoming unexpected challenges. He spoke candidly about how exploring the world helped him grow personally, think differently, and gain a deeper, more meaningful understanding of life.His lively, real-life experiences completely sparked our students' imagination, showing them the endless possibilities that await. The session left them feeling genuinely inspired to start asking bigger questions, discover new ideas, and begin their own small journeys of exploration every single day.This experience motivated our young learners to be curious, brave, and open to the world around them.

The Tribal Museum visit was a highlight for PYP1 learners! They loved exploring traditional huts, Warli art, and ancient tools to see how early communities lived. By comparing these artifacts to modern items, the students bridged the gap between past and present, gaining a deeper appreciation for how culture and creativity have evolved.

Growing Integrity

Learner Profile Principled Through stories like The Empty Pot and Emily and Her Juice Stall, our PYP learners explored the true value of honesty. They used a 'Traffic Light' strategy to turn these lessons into action, helping students identify which behaviors to keep (Green) and which to change (Red). This hands-on reflection empowered them to set personal goals for acting with integrity and fairness every day.

PYP Learners started the year by setting their sights high. After sharing their ambitions, students used the 'Stop–Start–Continue' framework to figure out which habits were helping or hurting their progress. They also broke those goals down into actionable daily tasks, like reading and writing. The takeaway? Becoming a better learner isn't just about trying hard—it’s about having a strategy.

The PYP4 students' bright energy was infectious as they celebrated Makar Sankranti during the school assembly. They took the meaning of this festival beyond kites and sweets, showcasing it as a thoughtful journey that started on the rooftops of India and traveled all the way to Korea and New Zealand, exploring one universal truth: nature sustains us. The students made powerful connections from our local culture to the wider world. They articulated that whether we are eating til-gul in India, sharing a feast in Seoul, or enjoying the summer in New Zealand, we all look up at the same sun.

She used games and real-life examples to teach the class how "hooks" and "pitches" persuade us to make choices. After learning the secrets behind catchy visuals and words, the students put their skills to the test. The session wrapped up with everyone getting creative and designing their very own advertisements!

Writing is about finding your voice, but persuasive writing is about changing minds. This was the key takeaway from today’s guest session with Ms Gunjan Matlani (PYP2 Homeroom Facilitator) on Persuasive writing. Rather than simply stating demands, students learned how to build compelling cases by using impactful language and supporting their opinions with sound logic. By the end of the session, the room was buzzing with creative strategies to win over parents and peers. It was inspiring to witness the students' confidence flourish as they learned to advocate for their ideas effectively.

Through vivid visuals, the students explored how people cleverly built homes and structures directly into the mountain landscape. This helped them see the real-world connection between geography and community planning—understanding how the natural features of a location decide how a settlement is built.

We Are Thinkers!

This month was all about the power of the mind. Our PYP students discovered that being a Thinker means being both a problem-solver and a creator. They learned to move beyond simple facts and start connecting the dots. The students realized that when they face a challenge, they shouldn't give up—they just need to look at it differently. Most importantly, they learned that thinking is the first step to kindness. By asking themselves, "Is this the right thing to do?" before acting, they are learning to navigate the world with integrity. They realized that the mind is a powerful tool—and when you choose to use it well, you make the world a little brighter!

From February 3rd to 5th, Grade 5 students participated in the AMI Project, a creative initiative focused on identity and self-expression. Led by Mondragon University interns Ms. Hannah and Mr. Martin, the workshops used hands-on art to help learners share their personal stories. Through these interactive sessions, students built confidence and explored their emotions in a safe, inclusive space. The project encouraged everyone to celebrate their unique voices while connecting with their peers. By the end, students developed a stronger sense of self and a deeper appreciation for different perspectives. Overall, it was a meaningful journey of reflection and growth through artistic discovery.

PYP learners celebrated World Read Aloud Day, an initiative dedicated to the power and joy of storytelling. The celebration aimed to deepen students' appreciation for books while highlighting how reading aloud enhances vocabulary, imagination, and comprehension. The learners read books, engaged in dialogues to bring characters to life, and created mind maps through circle time discussions to strengthen their connection to the world of literature, proving that a well-told story has the power to inspire us all.

PYP students recently enjoyed a transformative session with Dhiraj Sharma, Creative Director and environmental artist from GoSharpener, Bangalore. Mr. Sharma captivated the audience by showcasing stunning artworks crafted from discarded plastics, X-ray sheets, and old electronics, instantly shifting the learners' perspectives on "rubbish." The workshop culminated in a hands-on challenge where children upcycled recycled materials into functional clocks. The room buzzed with innovation and enthusiasm as students turned environmental theory into creative practice. This meaningful experience reinforced a vital lesson: with a little imagination, sustainability can be both impactful and incredibly fun.

PYP 4 learners brought the "Force and Motion" unit to life during an engaging field trip to the Science Park, Pimpri-Chinchwad. Inspired by Newton’s observation that "motion is the change in position of an object with respect to time," students transitioned from classroom theory to hands-on inquiry. Through interactive exhibits, they explored the mechanics of gravity, friction, and the dynamics of push and pull, using scientific vocabulary to articulate their findings. This experiential journey not only deepened their conceptual understanding but also showcased the IB Learner Profile in action, as students demonstrated exceptional curiosity, collaboration, and reflective thinking throughout their exploration.

Science You Can Feel!

A highly engaging and interactive guest session on the Digestive System was conducted for the PYP1 students. The session was led by one of our parent community members, Ms.Sanober Fitter , a Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery and Medical/Oncology) from Overlake Hospital, Bellevue, Washington, USA, whose specialty includes Perinatal-Fetal Demise Care. The session transformed biology into a hands-on adventure, making the journey of food both memorable and easy to grasp. Through interactive demos, students explored how their bodies function while learning the "why" behind healthy eating. Their enthusiasm and thoughtful questions truly brought the PYP philosophy of experiential learning to life. Healthy Choices in Motion: Our Youngest Learners Connect Dance and Nutrition

PYP1 students recently stepped out of the classroom for an energetic field trip to the Yuteka Trripati Dance studio, where they explored how their choices impact their well-being. Hosted by PYP1 parent and contemporary artist Yuteka Trripati, the students engaged in dance movements that enhanced their coordination and self-expression. They were also joined by fitness consultant Siddhart Naobrah, who shared simple, sustainable tips on balancing nutritious food with staying active in fun ways. This hands-on experience helped our youngest learners see the real-world link between physical movement and feeling great. It was a joyful day of learning that proved staying healthy is all about balance and play. A huge thank you to our PYP1 parents for hosting such an enriching experience!

Discovered the Link Between Land and Settlements 

PYP 2 learners recently took their inquiry beyond the classroom with a visit to Parvati Hill to study landforms and settlements. From the summit, they gained a bird's-eye view of Pune, observing how the city’s homes and roads have naturally shaped themselves around the hill's elevation. The students identified the physical features like rocky surfaces and steep slopes, while discussing how these landforms influence where people choose to live. Beyond the geography, it was a meaningful moment for reflection on responsible citizenship; the children discussed the importance of protecting our natural landmarks and keeping our environment clean. This hands-on experience turned their classroom lessons into a real-world understanding of how we live in harmony with the land.

Students of the Primary Years Program began the academic year by conducting inquiries into the Five Essential Elements of the IB PYP – The Transdisciplinary Themes, ATL skills, Learner Profile Attributes, Key Concepts and Action components. Throughout the IB-In your Element week, various thought-provoking learning engagements were conducted to introduce and review the key components. The week culminated with students connecting their prior knowledge to a deeper comprehension of the IB elements.

The PYP Literary Festival was conducted from 4th to 8th September 2023 to promote literacy, creativity and intellectual development in our young learners. Students from PYP 2 to PYP 5 participated in various writing and oral events wherein, they demonstrated their creativity and talents. It was an enriching experience altogether as students honed their confidence and also discovered their potentials.

Hindi Week was celebrated from 6th to 14th September 2023. Like every year, learners of PYP 1 to PYP 5 enthusiastically participated in various events such as poetry recitation, storytelling, slogan/poster making, etc. under the theme conservation of nature. A remarkable evidence of support from the learning community was displayed where parents were involved in judging the events. The week culminated on the 14th of September – Hindi Diwas Day with an enthralling performance from the students.

International Tourism Day is celebrated every year on September 27 to promote tourism all over the world. PYP 5 learners celebrated International Tourism Day wherein they learnt that tourism encourages people worldwide to explore the beauty and diversity of our planet while recognizing the responsibilities that come with it. The learners further understood and reflected that tourism encourages people to discover new places and bridge cultural gaps and promotes open-mindedness and international mindedness.

Our PYP learners engaged in collaborative learning around the learner profile of the month Open-minded. Learning engagements related to Growth Mindset, Johari Window, What if questions, What, Why and How reflection strategy, etc. encouraged learners to respect not just their own cultures, values, and traditions, but also those of others. It also helped them in analysing and respecting the perspectives of others, as well as growing from the experience.

PYP students observed 'World Space Week' from 4th to 10th of October to celebrate and understand the contribution of science and technology to the advancement of our civilization. The PYP Council members conducted a special assembly on 6th October during which, India Space Missions such as Chandrayaan-1, Chandrayaan-2, Chandrayaan-3, and Aditya-L1 were brilliantly explained through a role play. The learners then drew a strong connection to the Learner Profile of the Month - Risk-takers and understood the importance of exploring new ideas and innovative techniques while remaining resilient in the face of challenges and change.

Our PYP learners celebrated Spanish Language Day on the 12th of October and showcased International Mindedness, Multilingualism and Cultural Diversity through songs, skits and dance performances.

PYP 1 and 2 celebrated this day by learning and performing songs and rhymes in Spanish. PYP 3 presented a short musical depicting the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly, illustrating ‘the acceptance of oneself in society’. PYP 4 performed rhymes and traditional songs incorporating dance moves of South America. The audience also enjoyed a Spanish tongue twister challenge. PYP 5 performed a song about letter sounds and a skit about Spain and Peru in which they enlightened the audience through their dialogues and shared their understanding of the cultural similarities and differences between the two nations.

On October 25, our PYP learners celebrated International Artist Day wherein, The Arts Team - Drama, Music, and Visual arts facilitators collaborated to provide an authentic context for learners to create, respond and celebrate the different art forms.

Theatre Art: learners inquired into the achievements of renowned artists such as Marcel Marceau, Lee Strasberg, Girish Karnad and their contributions to the field of Theatre Art.

Music: learners explored the accomplishments and contributions of acclaimed artists like Yiannis Chryssomallis, Steve Vai and also the rock band The Beatles.

Visual arts: learners recreated artwork by artists Bruce M. Sherman and Yulia Brodskaya using various craft supplies.

The PYP 5 students delivered impressive presentations about their learning from the Unit of Inquiry on Energy. They conducted research on sustainable practices in nations such as Denmark, Sweden, New Zealand, Switzerland, Norway, and Germany.  These findings were presented on a formal platform named "SUMMIT G5", with the students serving as delegates representing these countries. 

Each student demonstrated exceptional preparedness and impressed the audience with their outstanding oratory skills.

Our PYP learners embarked on a journey to celebrate and foster the IB Learner Profile Caring amongst themselves, their family members and the environment. They decided to carry out simple acts of kindness and then shared their stories which in turn inspired their peers to be even more compassionate and show empathy and respect. They also participated in writing acrostic poems, reflecting and sharing what kindness means to me, watching videos, making kindness bucket, a pledge to care for environment and reduce, reuse and recycle plastic etc.
