The budget for Alpha Phi ceremonies is about $350 a year which comes from each sisters’ dues, which are $390 a semester. The $350 goes to things like: new ceremony items, roses, new member pins, alumnae pins, and senior stoles. During my postion I used a total of $345.75: on candles, $61.47, roses, $10.36, and senior stoles, $273.92.
The main goal of this project is to strengthen the connection from the past, present, and future sisters of Alpha Phi by making sure sisters are knowledgeable about the history of Alpha Phi. I will make sure current sisters are sharing their knowledge and history of Alpha Phi with younger sisters to achieve connection from the past, present, and future sisters of Alpha Phi. I was able to achieve this goal by doing more ceremonies than recommended by our internationals. I did more sisterhood bonding ceremonies and would create activities so that sisters could reflect and share their favorite Alpha Phi experiences.
I plan to help sisters build connections to the original 10 Founder’s, the Ritual, and each one of the Alpha Phi values. I helped sisters build connections with our original 10 Founder’s, the Ritual, and each one of the Alpha Phi values to achieve a strong relationship to our chapter and organization. I was able to achieve this goal by allowing multiple people take speaking part at ceremonies and encouraged those who already have spoke to let others have a chance. I also encouraged younger members to come watch me upset for ceremonies so that they could see the “behind the scenes” and learn more about why the ceremony is set up the way it is. However, toward the end of my term I let the Seniors pick speaking parts first since it would be their last time to do so.
