Session Title

Introduction to UNFCCC and What to Expect This Year (2021).

Synopsis

This panel provides an opportunity for youths to learn more about the United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change (UNFCCC), and what to expect in the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference happening in the UK.

We aim to connect experts in the field with youths who are interested to find out how international climate policies work, and how that translates to domestic policies and local actions.

We thus invite various experts to share what they are doing, and what young people can expect, or can do, in the lead up to the conference.

Climate Education for Youth. What Does That Look Like?

Synopsis

This panel provides an opportunity for youths to explore what climate education for youths can look like in Singapore’s context.

We aim to connect practitioners in the field with youths who are interested to learn about educational programmes outside of the school system, and how they can take charge of their own learning and how they can influence their peers.

We thus invite various practitioners to share what they are doing, and what young people can do to improve their climate knowledge.

This panel provides an opportunity for youths to gain an understanding of the state of Singapore’s economy, and how we are moving forward.

We aim to connect leaders in the field with youths who are interested to discover what’s in store for them now and the near future.

We thus invite various leaders to share some context of the state of the local and regional economy, and what young people can do to prepare ourselves for the next decade
