Star Wars Interworlds

This mod is our attempt to bring the Star Wars setting into X4:Foundations game engine and create the first ever space-sim sandbox in a galaxy far far away. 

All communication on the mod is done via Discord, please join the community, everyone is welcomed.


LORE

It is 10 years after Emperor Palpatine’s death. The Galactic Empire has fractured into parts and been pushed out of the galactic core. The newly formed New Republic is in a fragile, infantile state, holding the core and nearby systems but still struggling to build galactic support. Meanwhile, the Alliance continues to liberate more systems and establish order through providing security, although not all member planets wish to be part of the New Republic. 

Without the strong hand of the Empire, the Independent Commerce Guild is seizing control of systems and markets along the Outer Rim, leading them into regular conflict with the Corporate Sector Authority.  The Mandalorians remain splintered and embattled over the remaining territory, and bounty hunters and pirates find easy pickings in the chaos of the Empire’s sudden retreat. 

CANON OR LEGENDS: this mod is loosely based on both, but priority is given to the original trilogy and prequels era with some additions of new canon only where it makes sense and does not look out of place

e.g. we do not have New Order faction, but few selected ships from new canon may appear in the mod in the future if they fit and don't look stupid.

GAMEPLAY FIRST: While we attempt to stay true to the many concepts and lore of Star Wars we also want to give the player maximum freedom in how they can play the game (with some limitations due to the base game mechanics). You can expect to find ships from other eras (albeit modernized per our lore) as well as several new and old factions from the Star Wars universe. 

Installation

 DO NOT INSTALL MOD IN DOCUMENTS FOLDER.

If you did all correctly there should be “starwarsmod_m1” folder in your game's “extensions” folder, like this:
