For our Part 3 of our Addition and Subtraction unit, we will continue to learn the following:
create and solves single-step story and picture problems using addition and subtraction within 10
recognize and describe with fluency part whole relationships up to 10
develop fluency with addition and subtraction within 10
develop an understanding of equality
In reading, we will learn about print through research and writing. Students will ask questions about a line of interest, use close observation to learn new information, and collaborate and discuss their observations and questions.
For writing, we will be focusing on the same objectives as reading in addition to deciding what message we want to send to our readers.
In social studies, students will learn to apply the traits of a good citizen, on and offline by working hard in school. They will also understand that people of Virginia make contributions to their community.
For science, we will investigate and understand the following:
basic relationships between the sun and Earth
natural resources are limited
scientific and engineering practices
