In 2022, Allie’s agent (a.k.a. Mom) spotted a Facebook ad for a youth entrepreneur fair—open to all kids under 18, free to join, and designed to give young creators a chance to sell their own products. Sweetz Bakery decided to give it a try, starting with making ~300 macarons... and it was so much fun that we’ve gone back every year!
Each year, we rethink our dessert lineup, adjust how much to make, and fine-tune our setup, all according to lessons learned from the year before. It’s a ton of hard work, but nothing beats interacting with new customers and selling desserts in person (instead of just through orders) 😃
