The world of Gastronomia is vast, colourful, and flavourful.
Plates are what the most prominent landmasses are called, and each one is named after the main food type/flavour profile found within.
They're equivalent to real-world continents, and are split into the Western and Eastern worlds by a great ocean.
In most illustrated world maps, the Salty Sea is placed in the centre, while the Umami Sea is split on the left and right sides.
(Some scholars debate the fact that they're separate oceans entirely.)United Nations of Savouris

The Dessert Desert

Based on the Sahara Desert and neighbouring countries.
The Saltine Republic
A nation governed by its people, leading the world in manufacturing. The primary source of the world's most commonly used metal, Salted Iron.

Home to most candy-based foods, but due to the diverse population, they also boast the widest variety of food types.
Based on East and Southeast Asia.
Established centuries ago by three powerful families, the Neapolitan Kingdom spans about half of the Plate of Desserts on its own. The capital city is so large that some believe it should be split into three separate ones, based on the domains ruled by the three Noble Houses, but the royal family is adamant on keeping them united.
Outside the capital city, villages and outposts can be found across the rolling gumdrop hills and sugarwood forest regions.
Rumours say that the royal family closely guards a treasure specially enchanted by the Great Wizard Merlot, capable of granting any wish. They say this is the true prize of the Wish Tournament: because of its incredible power, it takes 10 years to build up enough energy to be used. Who knows if the rumours are true...?
Found in the center of the Kingdom, guarded by the Honey Moat.
The richest families of the kingdom live here, and that wealth is reflected in their surroundings. The streets are notably cleaner, more opulent, and safely guarded. Shops are pricier, but the goods and services provided are much higher quality than those found outside the district.
Each of the three Houses' Knight-candidate training grounds and dormitories are found within.
From the western Port all the way into the heart of the Noble District lies Chocolate Avenue, otherwise known as the markets.
This area is clustered with any kind of shop, stall, and storefront you can imagine—offering prices fair and steep alike.
If you're a tourist, keep a close eye on your wallet, because pickpockets and con artists thrive in this zone.
Found in the northernmost point of the kingdom and bordering the river, this part of the kingdom only comes alive at night.
If the Commercial District is where one goes to shop, the Entertainment District is where one goes to play. It boasts plenty of taverns, brothels, theatres, and probably less-than-legal shops full of imported rarities.
Found on the eastern side of the kingdom, on the border of House Vanilla and Strawberry's domains. This zone is home to the kingdom's farmers, animal rearing experts, and aspiring chefs. It's insider knowledge within the kingdom that some of the best "hidden gem" restaurants can be found here, where they have direct access to the freshest ingredients before the Port markets do.
Outside the kingdom's walls lie rolling fields of strawberries, grains, and various products grown to support the kingdom.
Found on the southwest side of the kingdom, on the border of House Vanilla and Chocolate's domains. Here, a majority of the kingdom's local factories and processing plants.
The air is thick with dark Cocoal smoke, dusting the streets and its inhabitants with powdery residue. While these factories are the source of many jobs in the kingdom, the less-than-ideal working conditions mean most residents of this zone and nearby residential areas are the most impoverished of the kingdom.
In the heart of the Noble District, tall sugarbrick walls guard even taller waffle-cone spires.
The Neapolitan Castle is grand, opulent, a extremely heavily guarded. Knights are given access only to the outer courtyard, where Nobles gather for social events.
The Royal Guard are highly trained, elite soldiers, and getting past them is nigh impossible. Few have even survived to tell the tale of their attempts.
Found in the domain of House Vanilla, the University sits just on the outside of the Honey Moat. Its walls gleam white and silver, with large stained sugar glass windows.
The largest library in the whole kingdom lies inside, along with greenhouses that grow rare magical plants, potion laboratories equipped with the latest technologies, and more.
Located in House Strawberry's domain, close to the eastern wall. It houses the kingdom's soldiers, led by General Jellyroll.
The soldiers are trained solely to fend of Rot Beasts. Some say the General's ruthlessness is what makes her so beautiful.
A quaint little shop found right on the border of the Vanilla and Chocolate domains. Mo seems to sell just about anything, from snacks to room decor to handcrafted Salted Iron weaponry.
This location is the first Shop that will be available to purchase from.
Each of the Houses have their own dedicated barracks and training grounds found in the Noble District. The quality of each one differs by House, and can be read about in more detail here.

As wide and varied as real life, but given food-related names. If they need to be name dropped, you can be as vague as something like "Savourisian," or you can get much more specific and just say "the Gastronomia equivalent of (desired language)."
By the way, in the Kingdom of Neapolitan, the language spoken is just called Neapolitan. Dialect varies by domain, but it's more of an accent than a different language entirely. Its real-world counterpart would be a mixture of English, French, and Italian.
