As a Knight representing one of the Noble Houses of Neapolitan during the Wish Tournament, basic necessities are provided for. A bed, a roof, access to a training ground, and three plain meals a day.
But if a Knight were to find themself in want of luxury past the bare minimum, there's only one place they need to go looking: the markets. And what does one exchange for high quality goods and services? Currency, of course!
The most commonly circulated currency within the walls of Neapolitan (and the Plate of Desserts at large) are Chocolate Coins. The coins have been produced by House Chocolate for centuries, and are one of their main sources of pride.
Chocolate Coins — often shortened simply to "Chocoins" — are round, gold-plated coins about 1 inch wide. The gold plating is uniquely enchanted to keep the valuable, pure cocoa core from melting.
Chips are smaller round coins, 0.75 inches wide, with silver plating instead of gold. The plating is similarly enchanted. There are 10 chips in a Chocoin.
The symbol used for Chocolate Coins is ¢ !
So how do YOU earn currency?
By participating in events, roleplaying, and drawing! Every completed roleplay or group-relevant drawing will be graded using a standardized rate. In Character, this is your PC's salary.
Knights participating in the Wish Tournament are provided with a modest salary during the event. They also receive bonuses for participating in Quests and Trials, as well as for how they perform during those events.
Muns will earn ¢20 on the first of every real-life month, as well as a starting bonus of ¢20.
As the Wish Tournament progresses, you'll gain access to several shops. Some contain useful items for Trials, such as magical potions, weapons, and puzzle clues, while others are purely cosmetic/for RP fluff. With your starting bonus, you'll be able to purchase a few items right away—who knows? Maybe they'll be useful for the first Trial...
Of course, there might be a few NPCs willing to give you an advantage in an upcoming Trial, as long as their purses stay heavy... But you'll have to find them on your own! And try not to let anyone else catch on, or you might be reported to the Guard.
