More may be added as necessary. If you can't find what you're looking for here, you can send an anonymous question to the Google Form posted on twitter. Once the preserver opens, all questions should be directed there!
You cannot apply with your PC's chosen House as undecided.
However, you will be given the option to apply with a first and second choice of House. If your first choice is already full up on Knights, I will assign you to your second choice.
I will not directly choose a House for your character to apply to for you. If you're having trouble deciding, try asking in the preserver for other Muns' opinions!
Currently, the goal is 24 in order to accept an even number of Knights to support each House.
I may up this number to 30 if I receive more applications!
Not necessarily. Your acceptance to the group will not be judged on your artistic ability or style. A visual application is only required so that we know what your character looks like, and we can make sure they fit into the world around them. The minimum for the visual application is a headshot, and you are allowed to use commissioned art of your character or a character creator like Picrew for it.
As for earning currency, commissioning art and character creators like Picrew will not count — but there are other ways to do so, primarily though roleplay and participating in events!
The main story is planned to run about 3-4 months (1-2 events per month.) Depending on participation and activity, this time period may be extended.
After the Wish Tournament is over, the server will become a sandbox where Muns may continue to roleplay or leave as they wish.
Maybe. Depending on the success of the first run, a "round 2" of sorts that takes place during a future Wish Tournament may take place!
However, once the tournament begins, I will not be accepting new members.
That's fine! As explained in the Mechanics page, I've intentionally created a system that should be easy to understand.
Outside of GM-run events, namely Trials and Quests, usage of skill checks is not required. Personally, I think it makes roleplaying more fun!
If there's anything you don't understand, don't be afraid to create a ticket or ping me directly if you have a question.
We'll only accept 1 ride or die per person. This means no ride or dies for groups of more than 2.
No "one-sided" ride or dies (i.e. "if I don't get in, you can accept my partner, but if my partner doesn't get in, I won't join either") If the friend you're applying with doesn't get accepted, and you don't want to roleplay without them, you're free to decline your acceptance.
Non-ride or die applicants will be prioritized.
If there are a significant number of kill or dies against a single person, I will most likely reject them.
And in case you don't know:
Ride or die: Both applicants must be accepted together. If one is accepted and one is rejected, both should be "rejected" from the group.
Kill or die: If an applicant's kill-or-die is accepted to the group, the applicant should be "rejected" because they do not want to participate in the group with their kill-or-die present.
Yes! As long as they have a valid reason to do so. (By the way, what counts as a valid reason is completely up to you! Just make sure it's in character.)
Of course, they'll most likely be looked down upon by their birth House and seen as a "betrayer." But nobles (and I) live for juicy drama like this...
Yes... but it depends. Your PC can be a noble from any of the three Houses of Neapolitan, or from any other nation in Gastronomia.
Your PC cannot be a direct descendant of any of the three House bloodlines, but they can be distantly related, and there are plenty of other noble families within the domains of each House.
Can they be royalty from the Kingdom of Neapolitan? No. This is because a royal family already exists (and you'll meet them, at some point!)
Royalty from elsewhere in the world of Gastronomia? Absolutely! I'd love to see how creative you can get with the world I've laid out.
Of course!!! Why do you think I bothered to create the whole world if I wasn't going to let you utilize it!?!?!
I'm not going to police every aspect of your character's hair or clothing and tell you its period inaccurate, because the time period for Gastronomia is pretty loose in the first place.
Just try to make them look like they'd fit in in a medievalish fantasy kingdom!
No zippers.
Yes. Details on the world outside of the Neapolitan Kingdom were left intentionally vague so that you can get as creative as you'd like with your characters backstory.
Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do to really prevent someone from applying with the same food as another person.
My recommendation is to keep an eye on the reserves list—if your first idea is already listed there, maybe try to come up with something new!
In universe, there are plenty of duplicates all over the world, so don't worry about NPCs being the same food type. But for the sake of RP, I would like for everyone to be different. As much as I might like to, I will not be accepting duplicate* foods.
*If you and another Mun would like to make characters who are siblings and are based off the same food type, please create a ticket to discuss it with me.
