I am an insect palaeobiologist and taxonomist, focusing on true flies (Diptera) and other insects. 

My research group studies modern biomonitoring records, lake seiments cores, as well as sedimentary rock fossils and amber fossils, to better understand role of the insects in the ecosystems, as well as causes and consequences of their decline. We also involved in the development of novel palaeoclimate proxies, based on the insect fossils.
