Amelie has completed her Master Thesis, titled "Morphological Examination of an Unusual Fossil Midge and Revision of the Phylogeny of Corethrellidae (Diptera)" with us in 2020. She has conducted a productive month-long fieldwork in Dominican Republic in 2019, leading to discovery of two new species of non-biting midges (so far). Currently she is finalizing her PhD thesis on Microgastrinae, which are parasitoid wasps with lepidopteran larvae as hosts. in the Bavarian State Zoological collection.
Currently she is working as TETTRIs project work package coordinator at State Museum of Natural History Stuttgart.
