The Legal job family is comprised of occupations with work activities that include evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, interpreting the meaning of information for others, making decisions and solving problems, and obtaining and processing information. In this family, knowledge of law and government, and customer and personal service are needed. And skills such as active listening, critical thinking, judgement and decision making, and complex problem solving are necessary. Education: most of these occupations require a high school diploma and some require additional vocational or on-the-job training, an associate's or bachelor's degree. Some occupations will also require a graduate degree.
