Graphic organizers are one of the best scaffolds for ELs as they help in representing ideas and understanding of content visually, with just a few words. This link contains editable graphic organizers (don't forget to make a copy first) that are appropriate for all content areas and especially helpful as pre-writing activities and to chunk ideas in preparation for longer writing tasks.

Seesaw is a great tool for formative assessment. Have students respond verbally to a topic or question, reflect on their learning, and listen to how they are developing their speaking skills.
