Projects

There are various projects that go on to impact the lives of the children and the community in a positive way. Some projects are starting, some in progress and others are complete. There is always something going on.

Farming Projects

Encouraging children and people in the community to engage in good farming practice such as rearing animals and planting food crops

Thunder-Lighting arrester Installation

A device was installed to protect the children and surrounding areas from incidents of lighting strikes during thunder storms

Football Club (Sports Project)

It is amazing how much love and education can be shared through sport. Young people interact with others and have something that brings them together. They love sport and even participated in tournaments. There is a need for equipment to keep the sports activities going, have a consistent coach, venture into other sports and progress to higher sporting levels.

Ground water-well Project

The area is known for spates of droughts that lead to water scarcity. A ground well was dug to help provide a consistent supply of clean water. Having to buy water in such dry seasons can prove to be costly. The well now needs a motorised function to make it easier to draw the water.

Sewing Project

Women can learn how to saw and make clothes and other artefacts. such vocational skills help them generate income or even make clothes for their families. These skills offer them a chance at life. They need machines, facilitators and material to complete their courses.

Music Project (Instruments, dance and singing)

Music is a powerful language. Children develop their musical skills and some are real talents. They learn to play African instruments like drums and also western instruments such as the keyboard. There are so many children and they are very eager! Equipping them with musical skills and training them to dance and sing brings joy to the community. They can express their feelings, educate and inform the community through their music. They need instruments, trainers and purpose-built performing spaces.
