WHEN: Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25, 2017

This tournament is organized to offer club teams from North and South of the border a way to start their summer playing tours and to workout the bugs before they face the watchful eyes of college recruiters.

Great competition, great tourist opportunities and great prices, we want to make sure your trip to scenic Vancouver Island is a memorable one. This tournament is offered in addition to our annual Island Shootout Tournament hosted in late-May.

WHERE: This year the tournament will again be held in the two full-sized courts at the University of Victoria CARSA High-Performance Gym. A total of 32 teams participated in last year’s tournament and we have room for up to 40 teams this year. Our second gym facility is the Spectrum Secondary School Old and New Gyms (957 Burnside Road West)

DIVISIONS: YOUTH – for youth teams with players in grades 6-8

JUNIOR VARSITY – for high-school teams or club teams with players in grades 8-10

VARSITY – for high-school teams and club teams with players in grades 9-12

OPEN WOMEN – any team wishing to play at the higher level, including players who have completed high-school eligibility with Canadian university, college and alumni players participating

OFFICIALS AND RULES: Officials will be provided through the Victoria Basketball Officials Association. Games will be two 16-minute stop-time halves; we will use a 30-second clock whenever possible

COST: $400 entry fee for all teams – all teams are guaranteed to play FOUR games during the tournament; if requested, we can accommodate you playing three games in one day for $300!

OTHER DETAILS: With the current gym facilities, we have room for up to 20 teams to play in this tournament. Entry in this tournament will be confirmed on a first-come / first registered basis.

A concession will be available in the main gym during the tournament and there will be an admission charge each day of $5 for adults and $2 for students with children under 10 years old admitted free.
