Inspired by Native American belief that humans have spirit animals. Students drew their self-portrait. Then students chose an animal that inspired them. They added, took away, or blended the animal features with their own.

Students drew a Tigers head. They experimented with warm and cool colors.

Students were inspired by graffiti artists to create their own names in the style of graffiti.

Students learned about Dia de los Muertos. They used tin to create a candy skull and decorations. They used sharpies to color in their skulls.
