To Participate in County's Public Meetings or Make Comments

Public comments during the Council meetings can be made either in person or by telephone

To make comments by phone during Council meetings:

• Dial into the meeting and wait until they prompt you, "enter 5* to make comments," and wait until they unmute your line. Then, state your name and where you live, and proceed to speak.

Two Types of Public Comments during the Council meetings:

1. During the public hearing for specific applications, the applicant will present their case, and then the President will open the floor to the public present in the meeting room. After all the public present in person speak, the chairman will open the comments to the people who call in to make comments. Then, follow the instruction above, 'To make comments by phone.'

2. At the beginning of each Council meeting on Tuesdays, the public is given 3 minutes to speak about any matter that is under the control of the Council.  Call into the meeting early and wait for the President to announce that the public can speak for 3 minutes. Then, follow the instruction above, 'To make comments by phone.'
